Just curious, with all the R1's and new models out there now, I wonder how many of these tubs are being reused and if there was any correlation to tub numbers and any order when rebuilding or if they just pointed at yard with a wrecker and said go get me one. Might be fun to track just tub...
got the SECM body moved from the 998 to the 1097, dont think the truck squatted any when the new body sat on.
Still need to remove seat boxes, leaving left side seat box for now until someone can tell me where the tcm is supposed to mount with this body in place.

Converting a S250 carrier M1097A2 into a SECM, didnt have the half doors that are needed with the maint bed, so next best thing is to engi-nerd your own.

Can you modify your intake to do an oil bath as a prefilter? On our old 60's grain trucks they had oil bath prefilters then an air filter on the carbs, some even had pre prefilter on the tops of oil baths then air filters

if you need TM's on paper, just print them then put them in document protectors, got a whole shelf in the shop from TM's i needed to hold in my hand to troubleshoot something.

I am having an almost same issue, M1097a2, n1225-1 alt with a n3117 VR, mine is overvoltage and first check for overvoltage is wrong regulator. I havent found any parts books that list the n3117 as a part so dont know if its an acceptable replacement. all other tests point to bad VR but no new...
