PRC68.com has the adapters for the -25/-77. There is also someone on evil-bay in Poland that has an adapter, but by the time you get it here the price is the same. I have three from PRC68.com for my radios.
Anyone interested in a HMMWV project? Body, civvy hood, frame and other parts. PM me for more info. See pics (some of which are not clear, bit there is a lot of stuff around it). If someone is interested, we will work out the logistics.
Replace the petcock with one of these > https://www.ebay.com/itm/AIR-TANK-DRAIN-VALVE-PULL-TYPE-Freightliner-Pete-Kenworth-All-Makes/131613289387 Most truck places will have them if you don't want to use evil-bay.
Ouch! That's still way too high on the high side, but the medicine may take several months to bring that part down. Also depends on when you take it. I've found that my blood sugars are better controlled when I take the Metformin with my evening meal, instead of before bed. If your BP meds...
Wiring codes only apply to the wires themselves, not the connectors on the ends, or to the parts they are attached to. Each plug has it's own code name, depending on how many wires it connects at the same time, and what size the wires are, and how the plug stays connected to whatever it...
All US Military vehicles use the exact same wire codes. Some wires are specific to a single type of vehicle, as you may find if you bother to read all the codes (or just need something to help you fall asleep).
And the Presidential Limo is known as "The Beast". USSS drivers spend up to six months learning how to drive it, including 60 mph backwards through obstacles. I'll see if I can find links to the videos I've seen.
Rent a truck/trailer with brakes sufficient to stop everything safely. For easiest results, from AZ, go west to the Cali central valley then go north as far as you can before the mountains get to big. That will avoid most of the high Rockies and the long up and down grades on the roads. Take...
Longevity tip. Do not leave it on for long periods of time. UV rays from the sun will eat through the vinyl paint and down into the cloth below, making it stiff. Then, when you are driving that stiff cover will rip from movement and no longer offer the protection it was designed for. What is...
Gilbert Parade was nice again this year. I've been doing dashcams of it since 2014. Because each three minute video is so large (170 MB and larger) I will not be posting and complete set, which consists of 11 or 12 (12 this year) from each camera. This one is from the driver's side as I...
I won't be taking still pictures, but will have the entire parade route filmed with two dashcam cameras pointed forward at a 45 degree angle.
They sit in a foam device tied onto the center window post of the deuce. All in all, it will probably be about 4GB of movies.
And, keep the steering wheel movements small! Aim to only move from the 6 o'clock position to the 7 or 5 with your steering hand. I do the same thing with the MKT trailers, since they are not visible except in the side mirrors of the shop vans. And, when I'm backing in to hitch up with them...
We (MVCSC) will be leaving the compound at 0700 headed to the Gilbert, SC Peach Festival parade with the MK48 USMC wrecker, two deuces, a mechanical mule, a HMMWV, an M-37 and several jeeps (depending on the number of drivers available).
Wail till you can afford filters to do anything. The batteries should have never been messed with, and that is going to be an expensive lesson because you now have to replace the ones with the damaged terminals. Finish draining the fuel lines and the fuel tank, and remember unless you have a...
