I'm going the hard wire route also. But I got a deal on some 1 ga wire to go the 40 feet between the generator and the new (manual transfer switch) main panel, the breaker is still only 60 amps per leg to protect the generator input to the house. The wire was about $150 cheaper than using new...
First, Exactly what model of generator are they (each one). Second, you may have to lubricate (with something like tunerlube) the switch with it turned off and not running, then try to operate the switch a few times, then crank up the machine in the position you desire. Third, make sure the...
And if you do as Light-in-the-Dark says, there will be no problems with "Was wondering about if line was to fail is there a check valve or some safety device to prevent tank from siphoning out." That is what "Prime and Run Aux Fuel" is for. No need to re-invent the wheel.
The WWII supply and technical manuals had a different numbering system. The parts manuals were known as ORD 7-8-9 for a particular SNL (Standard Nomenclature List) which was the official name of the vehicle (item, IE the Grarand Rifle had it's own SNL). The TM's started as two or three digits...
Mother Rucker is not that far, if you need to look at some of the ones they have in the museum. I can send you a CD of the pics I've taken there on my two trips (a buddy got a Warrant Commission and is now a Black Hawk pilot).
I have four in the trunk right now, so all three of you will be able to get one. BTW, since these came off my MKT's, they have the four bolts to attach them to whatever you want. Early poster said $20 each, and that sounds fair since you guys jumped on them at that price.

2. How fast does he need it...
If I can dig them out, I'll bring a couple of jerry can holders with me on Saturday. Will probably hang out around microjeep when I'm not wandering around the site.
Sounds about right. I got pictures of Tigger talking to Cabell a couple of months before he died. I might have been once since but if so, it was just on a Saturday for a few hours. I need to get out in the garden this morning and finish planting the beans.
I'm planning on coming at least one day if Wes (Simp) will be there, as he picked up some stuff for me that hopefully he will bring along. If so I'll need to bring the truck to haul it all back home.
I got a reply today on Facebook from Tim. He's preparing for a class he will be teaching at Heritage Life Skills in about 10 days, in addition to his other activities.
Starts easily! Cranked it up to let the batteries charge a little last week. R-r-varoom and it's idling. I've only got one deuce that starts that quickly!
