Well I finally made it…..well almost 98% complete on the M1078 conversion to a M1079 Overland vehicle. My wife and I both just retired and took the kids to a North Carolina vacation before their college starts back in a week. Then a few finishing touches on the truck. Then a week on a cruise...
I purchased my truck in 2015 with only 4,500 miles on it. It now has a little over 10,000 miles on it so I’m praying that if problems haven’t shown up so far that I was lucky to get a good motor. I already replaced the transmission years ago. 🤞🏻
So I just finished connecting them to 24 Vdc and oh yeah baby!!!! They are more than twice as fast almost 3 times faster. I’m guessing because they over came the load allowing it to move faster. 2 seconds up and 2 seconds down.
So here’s a question my power windows stop working months ago. Yes the cheap ones from Amazon….I’ve tried looking for a higher quality product but have come to the realization that I might just have to replace them every couple of years they’re cheap enough. But the question is I think I’m going...

Thanks geo but I’m just finishing the new generator installation.
I made it able to swing out for servicing.
Freshly fabricated and leak tested 50 gallon gasoline tank.
Finale resting place for the tank. The gas cap is getting painted, that’s why it’s not on there.
I even put a spark...
Thanks. I based the seat design after our favorite lounging chairs in our home. Funny you say that about the thickness, I brought the cushions from our home to the upholsterer and pick out a nice soft foam. Well the day I go and pick it up and say down on them they were so stiff and in...
Thanks, I wanted it to be nice for my wife….and I wanted to make it a true investment so it’ll be worth way more than I have invested into it.
Lots of long hard work. We are both retiring at the end of next week. I’m 51 years old and my wife turns 50 in April. We figured do it early and enjoy...
