Rear main and clutch replacement - lessons learned

Because apparently there are installed finger height differences between clutches. I don't remember the TM referring to the difference between 3 and 4 finger pressure plates-it simply said that whenever the clutch is replaced the bellcrank position needed to be measured and verified. JasonS...

How to post pictures - a tutorial

Because we got tired of people deleting their pics, renaming the folders, moving the pics, etc., then we wouldn't have anything. Then the poster is no longer a member, so you don't even have a way to contact them and ask them to fix the pictures. Here's a perfect example...

    poppop,s M37 restore thread

I love how poppop starts this thread with this disclaimer, basically saying "hey, this isn't going to be museum quality, we're just cleaning it up so it will be a good farm truck" and then proceeds to show us what looks like a museum quaility restoration. rofl The only way this won't end up...

Locked up meaning shifter won't move or meaning clutch won't go in and allow you to leave neutral?

Rear main and clutch replacement - lessons learned

Nice writeup. That flywheel is a little hefty, eh? It's all I can to pick it up and get it on the crank. I have a long, grade 8 bolt I have cut the head off that I thread into the flywheel to help locate the flywheel until I can get some bolts started. The cardboard was a good idea. I...

    poppop,s M37 restore thread

Is this the same as All Metal, which used to be called "AlumaLead"? Man, that stuff worked well. I did my Dad's Chevelle rear window with that stuff 20+ years ago and it's still good.

I honestly love getting buzzed but give me some notice....

There is a little regional airport near my house and they have a dustoff unit there and I am truly blessed to get frequently overflown by all sorts of stuff, albeit mostly rotary wing. Used to be a lot of Hueys, I was nearly moved to tears when what I think was a D or M model flew past last...
