I have noticed that the HD motor on the hoist winch must be leaking into the gear box on the winch and over flowing out of the gearbox vent and the holes in the side of the winch drum.
Does anyone know if you can replace the seal or rebuild the pump?
Also who may have a new pump or know were...
I understand now!!!
I was thinking about removing the engagement plate on the shifter linkage
to disable the front axle lock up. Or just move it all the way to the end of the linkage.
I think I saw a post that someone cut a slot in it and turned it.
Your pic looks like the PTO.
But if it is a PTO or winch leak they are not to bad the repair, just takes a little time.
Cost of parts are not to bad.
Just check out the TM's and you should be fine.
Good luck!

Nf6x, There is not a inter axle seal like the fronts.
All there is a inter and outer seal that fit on the wheel drum.
Not to bad of a fix, just heavy parts!!
Now I may of read all the 0's.
Again sorry!!

Use a good heavy tow rate for the truck (M923 23000lbs), use safety chains and use the two air hoses for the brakes.
Go a safe speed.
Some say to tie the steering wheel, when we towed my 923a1 we did not tie the steering wheel. Workd fine.
Get some tow lights.
I removed the drive shafts from...
I got the key from markmontana and it did not work on my locks on the truck. So I got the grinder out and cut them off and Ya!!! Goodies!!!:jumpin:
No tow bar, feet or axle clamps, but lots of other things.
I would start at the pressure switch and work your way to the problem.
You could have a bad pressure switch bad wiring or a grounding problem.
Look at the wiring drawing and find out were the power enters the circuit.
I would think it starts on the pressure switch side, but I am not sure.
