Back in 97, I saw a Israeli 1/2 track at the military museum at the Paso Robles Ca. airport, this 1/2 track had a deuce cab along with the cab armor and a deuce cargo bed, missing the engine which was a 6v53, also missing the trans, had a deuce transfer case, it had the kicked up frame of a 1/2...
1 -- My drum clutch is like yours, when disengaged is past the detent, my lockout prevents engagement, I guess a worn shifter fork or shift collor is the cause.
2 -- The drum brake is there so the drum DOES NOT free wheel when the cable is pulled while the drum clutch is disengaged, The drum...
Have you CHECKED your fuel filter and tank, I would change the filter and then run some sea foam to clean out the system, until you clean the tank, you will have a recurring loss of power/hard starting problem
This is sorta wrong, on OTR dual tank setups, there is a CROSS OVER hose between the two tanks, the truck drews out of only ONE tank but both tanks are connected so they are at the same fuel level, the shut off valves are there incase there is a tank/cross over leak (wreck, ect.), the leak will...

You can say what you want, it...
Never anti-seize/grease wheel studs/lugs,
1-- a DOT inspection WILL sideline the truck as anti-seize is a NO NO,
2--you can over tighten the stud/lug, there by STRETCHING and WEAKENING, you may end up with the same torque BUT the nut/thimble is tightened more to get the torque because the...
I can't say anything about the 40MM but when I was in country (66-68) what ever could be found, borrowed, scrounged, that just showed up, ect. was used, so a set of 40 MMs would not be unheard of.
Make SURE the grounds are GOOD, BOTH mounting bolts are grounds, BOTH have to be good, if only one is grounding you WILL get funny light operation, either some not working or grounding through another light circuit which in turn causes more fun and strange operation of some of the other lights...
Your avatar is so wrong, here you are taking a TWO wheeler around a tight turn at a high rate of speed and I can't even avoid mobile combat pine trees with a 4 wheeler doing 35 or so.
