    M916 EUC dilemma

The EUC is for END use, buying something that is NOT allowed to be sold out side the U.S.A., to sell to a NON LEGAL (NON-CITIZEN) buyer, could get the GL buyer in jail, a EXPORTING dealer has the proper LEGAL standing to deal with the state departant, DOD, and any other agency needed to sign off...

    Fuel Gauge and Sender Question

1-- Are the later fuel gauges different then gasser gauges?, 2-- Are the 5t gasser gauges DIFFERENT then deuce gasser gauges? (would think they are the same) 3-- Are the gasser sending units different then later trucks other then the plug?, (if so, would that call for a different gauge?) 4--...

    Brake Issue with '72 M818

Is the brake pedal return spring broke, with the pedal a bit forward, the fluid can not return to the M/C and will lock things up, this plus a bit of pdeal viberation pumping the brakes (even a little bit) will pressureize the system and lock things up on it's own, I am going this route because...

    M939 engine swap to NTC-300?

Something to think about with these engine swaps The 855 had TWO types of front motor moumts, each has a DIFFERENT accessary drive cover (the covers are interchangeable as far as mounting to the front of the motor), one is the TRUNION mount (there ARE two types of these, military and civi), the...

M809 control box used in M939?

A 809 PCB WILL NOT WORK in the 900 5ts, it has ONE more saftey circut (the auto. trans. NUTRAL start ) The ONLY REASON for the PCB is to keep a driver from trying to start the truck WHILE it is ALREADY RUNNING or in gear for the 900s (why it is called POTECTIVE CONTROL BOX), if the driver...

    M813A1 Not Starting

The fuel shut off selinoid DIED or wire broke, try turning in the thumb screw, turn to the right, this will open the selinoid without the need for power, you will need to use the emg. shut down to shut down the engine Or a cracked fuel line causing it to SUCK AIR

Is it ok to run my deuce on methanol?

It is DRIER then gas, I would use it to "cut" WMO ONLY, using in LARGE quanties WILL burn things up.

Moving M-39 Series 5 tons to the Korean/Vietnam War section

The 39s and the 809s ARE the same truck just with different motors, just like the m35, the m35a1 and the m35a2 ARE the same truck just with different motors. The reo m35 (2 1/2 ton deuce) has only ONE forum, NOT THREE. If there is going to be a seperate 5t forum, the 39s AND the 809s should be...

    M816 hot rodding ?

What do you need more power for ?, a deadmaned m816 CAN break the rear 3/4" cable at idle, a m816 CAN break the front winch and/or cable at idle, a m816 WILL lift anything with the crane at idle (better control at about 1000 rpm), so again, WHY DO YOU NEED MORE POWER ?

Moving M-39 Series 5 tons to the Korean/Vietnam War section

The 800 5ts and the 900 5ts are two different trucks, almost all the main parts are different, it would make more sense to combine the 39s and the 809s 5ts, they share about 95% of the same parts
  19. 73m819

Moving M-39 Series 5 tons to the Korean/Vietnam War section

What about the 800s, they share about 95% of the parts, you are talking about the the 39s, think you need to readjust some thinking, maybe give the 900 5t there own thread, then if that is done, what happens to the 915, 916, 917, 919, and the 920. or OTHER HEAVY trucks, so with the above said...

    An unwanted gift

I had critters in my 819 eating a wedge of DECON a day, I stocked on enough so that there NO chance of then going hungry, ( would not want to be turned for critter mistreatment), for some reason no decon has gone missing lately, I would hate to think I over fed and the critters a DIED from OBESITY.
