Guy came over today, and his truck has the yellow label KDS box.
When he turns switch on.....light flashes.
His TSU [ silver with a grey plastic top ] is installed .
So we unplugged it and plugged in a yellow banded TSU....Fixed....light now turns on and goes off like it should.
So....the wrong...
Look at the cast date code behind right head on block.
GEP's were from 2001 and above.
example : 06 10 j would be june 10 2002
GM date codes : letter first is month, the 2 digits is day/month, last digit is year
There are two different T/C 242's that can fit on a 3l80....both use the same adapter as the T/C 218.
The 4l80E trans uses a different adapter....I have them ...new.
Sometimes the clutches get stuck inside the assembly if it was not working for long periods of time.
Remove hose to fan clutch [ with truck off ] and apply and remove about 90 psi to fan and see if it moves.
If it does....then your problem is electrical.
If it don't move....Need to take a...
I here its has RV trans specs, and you need a Diesel torque converter, and also there is a early, and late style....early has the cooling connections together like the 3L80.
The better is the late with cooling fittings far apart.
The trans pans are different also.
The 1123 is a 10.3k truck, and has same springs in rear as : M998a1, 1038, 998a2, etc..... Per Tm 9-2320-280-24p , fig 192...code NNN is 1123.
You S/B good as is.
You should have the stamped steel rear spring seat....the variable rate springs don't fit those.
You have to make sure batteries are charged before starting truck....low batteries cause regulator issues, and or PCB/EESS box issues.
Those 60 amp units have mounting issues.....lower slotted adj. tab on aluminum bracket cracks, rear support bracket gets loose [ stud loosens, or breaks ]...
count the teeth on the plastic gear you pulled out....they also have the # of teeth marked on them.
That is the number you use on the aluminum housing....it has a range of numbers.
