Remember you're talking 55mph on flat ground and considerably less on hills. Why a FMTV? If you're going to be out for 2 weeks max at a time there are many commercial, off road capable RVs, especially in the Class C range, that would be comfortable enough for that short period of time. It...
The only issue you might have with departure angle is a real short, steep, u-shaped dip. I wouldn't think that would be that common so I'd keep the extra space and just plan around any trails like that.
I replaced all the bolts on my strikers with bolts that use a hex driver. I was concerned about getting them out at a future date so figured that was the easiest way to do it.
Front is going to be tougher due to the planetary gears. Rear should be pretty straight forward and simple. Probably much shorter on getting them out and then multiple hours getting everything back together. If you haven't done something like the front it might be worth the expense of having...
Change of plans. Check the classifieds if you'd like to take over the project.

Mine isn't a daily driver but I do take it to town occasionally. It's actually easier to park than my old F250 Crew Cab. Here's me in a single spot at What-A-Burger.
Thats why I recommend as part of PMCS to reach in and shake the fan to make sure it's secured properly and if switching anything go with the newer style clutch and fan.
Starting on page 70 of my thread you can see the results of losing the fan clutch at 55mph. Luckily I had awesome tow coverage on my insurance.

My issue appeared to be the center section of the old style...
Nice! You probably packed extras but just in case - HOSE Clamps (at least 4"). One of the easiest breakdowns I had in mine was when the turbo hose clamp snapped. It was literally a 2 minute fix but about 45 minutes while I waited for a friend to bring me one :)
