I just dealt with this same cobble job on an M1009. I changed the glow plug relay under the hood, hooked up everything stock, Pulled and checked the glow plugs, replaced the glow plug card with a new...
Hopping on your thread Rusty. Mine arrived today. actually 2 of them arrived. I had a duplicate order. All is well. I called the rail yard today after tracking it and they loaded the 2 on the car carrier and delivered them. I am only buying one of them. 2019 Silverado Custom Trail Boss. Factory...
While we are digging up the dead. I wanted to point out I was told that the transmission fluid temperature is best to know at the pan. That is the current temperature of the fluid that the transmission is ingesting at that moment. Made sense to me. I never went ahead and installed a gauge there...

This is a local guy he does great work. He rebuilds stuff for PARNG and has been doing all my work on electrical. Fair pricing. Just sharing information. Do as you wish. Have a Great Day.
No that is the results of hard thrashings and corrosion. 1 died a terrible death when a knit wit ran off the road and broke everything underneath. Axles, transmission, transfer case, frame. Scrap. The other 2 rusted beyond repair. Axles, frame, body. They have all been recycled to prevent global...
In Pennsylvania it is required to have a light on the license plate. I have my Pennsylvania vehicle inspection license and I won't pass a vehicle with out one. And really I guess I could push the issue. But I don't need the down time or the hassle of a roadside debate with Deputy Dog. Every town...
Display in Pennsylvania or ticketed. NO questions asked. Why would I want to go without plates? I'm NOT 007. Have a Great Day.

Hope that helps.
Very good simple explanation. Thank you. I like it. No need for all sorts of fearful drama as to why in stock form it was designed they way it was. Thank you.
And unless you are going to have the front hubs locked while going cross country you will not even turn the front axle gears. Good Luck. If it were mine I would have it looked at by a professional and NOT risk doing further damage. Something is a miss inside. I do not have the tools to set up...
:DNever seize isn't going to stop the hex head from rotting off the bolt. And yes the OEM 5/16' bolts are grade 5 with a 3/8" hex head. The replacement ones should be grade 5 and will have a 1/2" hex head. Unless you want to look for Genuine GM wheel cylinders bolts. Good Luck...
Get a strong pencil magnet. Remove the lock bolt and never use it over again. Remove the center pin and push the axle in towards the center slightly. Use the magnet to grab that steel C clip. It is easier then you think. Pull the axle and do the same on the other side. Be sure to replace the...
That works. But you can disassemble and reassemble the instrument cluster thru the front side without removing the brittle blue/green plastic cluster housing. Good Luck. I hope that helps a bit.
I am hoping this is the last week I have to drive a CUCV as my daily driver. I hate it. I was 40 miles from home when the heater core went out. Froze on the way home at night with the windows fogged up. Today I went for coffee and the speedometer was wrapped around down at the bottom and sounded...
Do tell how I would have stopped without it? Parking brake/Emergency brake. Both the same and people get the meaning. I did not misuse the Parking Brake/ Emergency Brake. I used it in an emergency situation and it stopped me. Throwing it in park would have been a massive fail. I don't want to...
