It would be nice to have hand wash stations near each set of porta-potties. We should have the cooks and the folks eating at the MKT setup (we actually had a setup, with a paper towel dispenser this year, but not many people used it). Soap was donated by ZOUT, and works great!
The device I...
Adam (ferro) graciously brought his MKT this year, but we were only able to use it as storage because he has not gotten all the 'little' things that make it complete - canopy poles (need 12), burners (MBU's or propane, need 6), knives and other utensils.
Lloyd is correct on the number of cooks...
Communications between the passengers in the back and the driver is the key legal hurdle. If you have a 'tunnel' between the cab and the back, you should be good. Otherswise, as an attorney in your state.
That's not all of it. There are about seven or eight one mile reels and a whole bunch of 1/4 mile reels that are partially full. Wooden reels are 32,200 foot each (about 6 miles).

The 16 x 16 tent was a blessing for putting out the condiments and other items away from the serving line on the MKT,
Tigger handling the money was also a blessing since it freed up me for other duties - I'll have a cash box next year to simplify making change.
Vendors and the...
Take the windows out of the truck, lay them flat and get them back together (aligned). Next, drill some holes at the bottom, one in the center and on each side about two inches from the corners big enough for a #8 screw to go through (pan head, 8x32, 1.75 inch long) with the pan head to the...
What's wrong with WD-1A? It's a lot stronger than CAT-5 swinging through the trees. Are you going to man the switchboard if we bring the field phones? A pair of SB-22's would give us 29 lines to hook up, and the SB-86 would allow 60 with the second TA-207. How many TA-43/TA-312's can you...
I got home about1645 Sunday in time to remember my house keys were in the front of the shop van on the refrigerator. So I had to unload a bunch of stuff to be able to crawl forward and get them - got in the house about 1730. Hooked power to the refrigerators, then put the stuff I unloaded to...
Make sure you check in with the event organizers. There are only 36 berths on the ship available, rest will sleep in a GP Medium near the Vietnam Firebase.
Appears to be what replaced the SB-22, and, if so is still current issue. Bad thing about current issue stuff is the demil codes all say "cut or crush" (or both). I had that problem with some TA-312's a couple of years ago (Uncle wanted them back after the demil code changed). What Uncle...
Welcome aboard! We have a forum for the CUCV's and it should provide a good bit of reading material for you till you get back. Read all the posts in that forum and you will wind up a very informed customer when the time comes to make your purchase!
Thanks for your service!
Dave08,
While the M720 dolly is nice, also be on the lookout for an M832 dolly. 720 is rated at 3.5 tons, 832 is rated at 5.5 tons, they also use different sized tires if I remember correctly - I know the 832 uses 900 x 20's. See my sig line.
CARNAC,
First, the PEU-156R is a three phase input, and has 20 amp twist lock plugs. If your's is in good shape (all breakers working), you will be able to get the "A" circuit working with a 120V generator, and both the "A" and "B" with a 208/240 volt input. I'll try to bring mine along too...
All you have to do with that is to leave the blackout panels in place. Put a self tapping screw through the bottom of the panel and you're done (well... maybe a bit of touch up paint on the screw head...). That's the way the back two are in my pantry van ( see the thread "A different kind of...
