Pinzer,
You figured out how to find this post to make a comment, and you successfully made three posts (according to your post count), so you are doing better than about 10,000 people who have registered on the site. Keep reading and post when you think you can contribute! It will get easier...
Check with the European dealers, as shipping from USA to Poland would cost more than the item costs. And only purchase the corner bows - you can make the top bows and side stakes out of hardwood available locally. It may also be cheaper to have the top cover made locally and just purchase the...
Try using 49.85 Mhz and listen. It's a frequency that in-home stereo wireless headphones, baby monitors, etc use. At least one of my neighbors has one, as I can hear them Lima-Charley with even the little short antenna on the PRC-77. YMMV.
NEVER have the radio's on when cranking the truck up or shutting it down. ALWAYS turn the radio's on after the truck is running, and shut them off before you turn the ignition off. They do not like voltage spikes or brownouts. Just a word to the wise!
Check with Erik's in California and on e-bay. The replacement pressure plate has three fingers. There was a thread on here several weeks ago where one of the four arms broke near the pivot point - that one had pictures! Pilot bearing is a standard 3/4 inch oil impregnated bronze bearing and...
Pics 1 and 6 are loudspeakers. Pic 2 looks like an R-442 (receives only) - Vietnam era, pic 3 is either a PRC-25 or a PRC-77 sitting on an AM-2060. Last two simply show the radios in the mounts. AM-2060 is worth about $200 PRC-77's about $400, R-442 maybe $150, mounts are worth anywhere from...
Grounding rods are generally copper plated steel, not solid copper. So, yes, you need a ground rod. PM me your address and I'll see if I can get you a piece of 6GA wire for the ground - generator to ground rod.
Check with CARNAC on a distribution box - he had one at the GA Rally that he was...
100 feet, 20 amps load = one 10 ga. cord. But a 100 ft 10GA cord is HEAVY. I use 50 ft 10GA to run power to my pantry trucks. In that application it will handle 25-30 amps without significant voltage drop (less than 2 percent). Another thing to consider - try pointing the generator exhaust...
If you do get a court ordered garnishment, be sure to file it with not only the state and IRS, but also the local welfare office. That way, any tax refunds he might qualify for will be sent to the court, and his welfare will be reduced (but only by a very small amount). It will chap his cheeks...
It's a standard 3/4 inch oil impregnated pilot bearing. Should be available at any heavy truck parts dealer. Sounds like your NAPA is a car parts store, not a heavy truck one
The bulbs are blue so they are not seen as far away (they usually have blackout cones on them also). Two boxes makes up one complete light set, which will put lights into about four GP Medium tents. Usually issued one set (2 boxes) to a company. It's all two wire stuff and the lines that are...
would deuce bows/corners work? I know I use 1 x 3 red oak for the uprights and bows with the GI corners on my deuces. Bottom of the uprights has to be shaved a bit smaller than the finished 3 inch - width of a saw blade is generally enough.2cents
There is a thread about moving a truck from Hawaii to Texas from early 2010 >
