I am going to use diesel in my next 50/50 batch, it's about the same cost as gas around here and I think it has more BTU so should perform a bit better.
Back in the 70's our "family truckster" was a Plymouth Satellite wagon with a 318 in it that had to be rebuilt at 50k due to an unbalanced crankshaft, When we got the car back the mech told us to burn a qt of fresh ATF every other tank, that motor lasted 200k before my little brother trashed it...
I have run 25/75 unleaded and WMO with no bad effects though I am worried that is too thick for my IP (FDC bypassed), so the next batch will be 50/50 diesel/WMO.
I think the groups involved in the parade have to reserve a spot in advance, if you show up with a group I don't think they will let you participate. If you have a MV and are going to join our club we could squeeze you in I think.
WELCOME! I am in Austin and keep my Deuces at work in Cedar Park. I am going to have two vehicles in the Liberty Hill Xmas parade, come on out! If you don't have something to drive we will have lots of room to ride along, we will be easy to find (look for the green trucks:))
I have a friend who just got hold of his first MV, a 1955 M38A1, and it still has unit markings on it. Do any of you guys and girls recognize the unit? The jeep came from Oklahoma.
There are a lot of bidders in other states that don't realize how much it costs to transport, but buy anyway. And some people want more than they pay for so they are disappointed when they see it in person I guess... I have been happy with the two I got from Ft.Sam.
A LOT of the trucks sold by GL from Ft.Sam do not get picked up (for various reasons) so the trucks on there lately are the culls from several previous auctions. One truck down there has been sold at least three times...
SS members present include: Pawnshop, Barrman, Reloader64, M813RC, Sarge, Buckmaw and Quonsethut. I will post more photos when I get home from work tonight.

U.S. flag code states right front fender or bumper/frame, and small enough that it does not touch the vehicle when not flying. Code IS the law, even though it is not enforced.
