In the tm, it states, "not to be used as a parking brake", the reason for this is it is one thing to leave the system pressured for a bit as the wrecker is used, it is another thing to leave it pressured over night or days, the system is not designed for this LONG term pressure
and going CHEAP, I saw some rebuilds that are showing low miles
I drove a 915 that would do 65 easy, 70 with some work (this was before the bottom of the tank got sucked), has S-cam brakes, rides a lot better
They will also charge you for the M/C about what you paid for the whole truck, , my truck will sit and turn to dust before a M E part goes on it.
Eastern Surplus also has the M/C
I have 2 black an decker,12v 1amp/2amp float trickle chargers that STAY connected by lugs to the batteries, when the truck was driven, all I did was UNPLUG the 110v plug common Y that powered both chargers
A lot BETTER chance of getting rear ended, then being t-boned.
Following this logic, maybe up-armor the cab top in case the sky falls, never can be too safe,
I think the point we are trying to make, why add MORE risk to these trucks. (don't add fuel to the fire)
yep, pull the rad, then if you can, weld a nut to the broken bolt/bolts, weld INSIDE the nut to the top of the bolt, should with the heat/weld be able to turn them out, then CHASE ALL the bolt holes, a LOT of anti-seize on the RING and the BOLTS on install
try slacks truck parts here on gainesville for the pump ring, good bet belts as well, there is a cummins parts as well as a few good BIG truck dealers in town also
