    M35A2 roadside kit.

the current owner "seems" to keep it up from his pictures. It has new tires, tank fuel pump, oil and fuel filters and a new seat. He offered to drive it up here for 3.00$ a mile both ways. So I'm confident that it is ready. I made 11 trips moving my family from Ca to N Idaho, 2200 mile round...

    M135 Advice please.......................??

I had a old dodge pickup 40+ years ago that did the same thing. I pulled the front drums of a dozen times trying to figure out what was causing it to lock up. Turns out (a machinist told me to check) the drums were so wore that they were way beyond maximum ID. The shoes would go out so far that...

@porkysplace. Good article/link you posted. wind chill does effect heat transfer (like a fan on your engine) but in speed (time) such as the article states. great post. thank you. dave.

Cold start Ether kit vs Intake heater

Same here. above 10 or so, everything starts, below that things start to get stubborn, except my 1990 Ford 7.3, but it has glow plugs. personally, I'm fine with ether, and rarely need it unless Im somewhere where the truck sits all night in zero weather.. Windchill really does effect equipment...

Cold start Ether kit vs Intake heater

when the temps get down to the negatives, my Kubota will not start on glow, or ether. I have to use the block heater(coolant) for about 2 hours. Before I installed it, It took about 4-6 hours with a magnetic oil pan heater. My cummins needs its block heater also at those temps. I intend to...

    Steering wheel removal

A bearing puller from HF may work. Not sure if the two plates that come with the set is big enough, but they also sell a bigger plate separately. You need them to remove press fit bearings anyways..Item # 62593

    Deuce brake shoes issues

I don't have a deuce yet, but if the wheel cylinder is centered with the shoes, then the pins are fine, and the cams are the issue, like it could be missing a spacer behind it. If the wheel cylinder is not centered, then the pins are the issue. Assuming the shoes are correct. Is the clearance...

    M35a2 White Smoke

If he can do 62 MPH, then Id think his tach is acting up as he should be above 2000 rpms even with taller tires.

I think I found a M35A2 I want on the west coast. I will have a 450+ drive back through some snow. It has Michelin 11.00x20 tires on it like I see a lot of on this site. Will I be driving back at 45 mph, or sliding back?

Tires......maybe go with a hub flip and wider tires, or stay with the cheaper NDCC and groove and sipe them. Add a 9 foot Bi-directional snow plow, and make up a set of chains. Hardtop the roof, improve the brake system possibly (I need to research) with a vacuum pump/master cylinder assembly...
