    Bad day at work

I think I need to stop by and do a personal inspection... about anything to get me out of class or out of this rhythm for a bit. Look for the M38 running around Fires school tomorrow.

What model 5 ton is this? Oshkosh?

I forgot about the MTV Wreckers, I hate those. I always got complaints on them. Much prefer the HEMMT wreckers.

What model 5 ton is this? Oshkosh?

Those have the good door handles on it. The current ones in most of our motorpool have a lift up handle... LOTS of issues with that. Honestly, most of the problems I saw with LMTVs were door issues. I know more trucks that couldn't open one side or the other for any variety of reasons. Saw...

jerry can rack..where to buy cans?

I have a lot of metal fuel cans, but the only ones I trust to hold gas were produced in the last few years of Blitz's production from what I remember (I'm not near them, half the USA away actually). The rest, the liners are shot, I put gas in one and looked in it the next day, the liner was...

    Odd Bumper Markings

Was browsing GL and found an interesting set of bumper markings on a USMC M813A1. Left side of the bumper has two small lines that read: PRES. LCN 0000 Center has a set of numbers, looks like an NSN 2320-00-058-0913 Right side has C/C F PRES RECEIPT 08/03 I'm guessing this has something to...

    Declassified rarities from USSR

My bad, it's a 70 series, not an 80. Here's the problem, most of the images I come up with look like this... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2656/3884001138_4730569a3d.jpg But what I'm remembering seeing, doesn't look like that at all... I'm wondering if maybe there's a new version? Maybe...

    Declassified rarities from USSR

USSR, do you have any good, high quality, about 1/4 left side shots of a BTR-80? newest model? I'm looking for one for a comparison to something else I'm working on! Ideally, either about 2-4 steps left of center or straight front and side shot?

Since when did the US use these?...........

HMMWV wheels work ok on the 2nd Gen rams but won't fit on the 3rd Gen rams due to the brake drums, IIRC.

    High Park Fire, CO

Ron, I'm very happy that your family was able to make it out. Sadly, you were working towards a better goal of stopping the fire. It's very sad to see the damage, but in the end, trucks can be replaced. Hope in the grand scheme of things, you guys get the fire under control and help others.

Hey from Ft. Bragg. I will actually be out in your neck of the woods next weekend for a few weeks. I'm bringing the guy in my Avatar. Guess there's a few members around there. I'd like to enjoy some off-road time if there's some good spots!
