RCA, it could also be maintenance, could have been their spare parts/runner truck/contact truck, work platform... The Army tries planning this stuff out all the time, but necessity overrides MTOE.
Have some fun :jumpin:
RCA, units, esp USAF units, will tag other units with their own unit sticker.
The emblem, in the Army, is not a practical joke. That'd be a point of pride for some Mechanics actually.
RCA I got them from Home Page
But, I don't think he has anything in stock that is that size. I would recommend just taking a piece of posterboard or manila file folder, and making the stencil on that. use some tracing paper or something to get the size of the stencil off the truck, then...
KIRBY,
I hope things work out for you. in all honesty, as much as you have been ribbed on this, it gives me a little insight as to some additional things to do/check/verify if I ever buy from GL. that small input is worth it from me. Good luck. Hope you get your truck or some cash.
RCA, that Ordnance Bomb was probably put on by the Mechanics while it was serving them. I seem to see that happen very commonly with Ordnance Corps guys. We tend to put the bomb on a lot of stuff. I even have a couple stencils for use later down the line.
While I do not know your end goal...
I have USAA on my Jeep.... that doesn't have plates or legally road worthy (next duty station), but I have collision, a low deductable and all that other good stuff.
I tried Taylor initially, but since I didn't have a garage they told me no. I have no idea how USAA will react in an actual...
NC tags F-250/2500 series trucks differently than other states. Seems to be a requirement of some sort here...
I've never been waived into a weigh station, when pulling or not pulling my featherlite gooseneck trailer.
That's not only an issue with the old ones. There was a Safety Of Use Message (SOUM) published in 2008 or 2009 that deal with up-armored M1151/M1152s that were assembled with faulty Geared Wheeled Hub Assembly, there was a very large set of serial numbers that were affected. When we got a new...
I hate to say I told you so, but I (guitar chords) told you so!
Have your guy give me a better pic of the wood and I'll run it past the riggers to see if it's part of their process. pretty sure it's not part of the HMMWV process, that's mostly cardboard, but I don't know about the larger...
DSD,
The initial pics from the site, IIRC, indicated the spare tire assembly was also bent. I don't think it was rolled in the traditional sense of driving down the road and rolled over. I think it was just a gradual roll into soft dirt (IE a drop zone).
If you send me the serial number, I...
I saw this on the auction site as well. I'm guessing it was dropped and then rolled at the last minute. The Cargo chutes may not have disconnected pulling the platform over after impact.
That being said, if you need closeups of any of the LVAD parts, please PM me, I will be able to help you...
All from the NC rally, Thanks for a good weekend. I know this is a bit late, but I've just been swamped with work. For those I didn't meet, I had the M38 Jeep hanging out in the corner by the big black trailer. You also might realize that I was walking around with sunglasses on all day. I am...
