its top speed is also related to its braking ability. A deuces braking system is designed around the design limits of the vehicle and what is was intended for, namely hauling stuff, not fast freeway speeds. mine never sees over 55
your plan 2 might work if you have air hoses long enough to reach on to the trailer, if not cage the brakes, if you are having it dropped off on the lower road to your driveway that is not that far and no traffic.
i run alot of umo, but on long trips i always run straight diesel just because im paranoid about it. if you filter it well you should have no problem. i filter mine to one micron and have had no problems yet. Good luck on your trip, its awesome what these motors can do
just an update, i finally got the latch system hoops welded in to the springer seat and put the car seat in and it is solid as a rock. I went probably three times stronger than i thought would be sufficient from others advice. this will be mostly for parades and the like and it will be nice...
they are handy, i used to have one and got rid of it for some reason, now im looking for another on. are you going to convert the lights and wiring for your civy truck
I have some magnets on the strainer to were the dirty oil gets poured into my waste barrel so that the oil runs over them before going into it. I also have some in my first filter sock. probably overkill and unnecessary but in my mind its only "free" fuel if it doesn't cost a bunch in filters...
i get mine from a local privately owned garage, and sometimes from a school district shop. i dont know if you have larger irrigation districts around you but around here they are also a source
