4Th annual MJT Truck show at the Cape Cod fairgrounds in Falmouth, MA on Oct. 28th. This is a great show and has hundreds of trucks. Us military truck guys section is getting bigger every year. Come to the Cape and have a great day. I have included a few pictures from last year.
Welcome Dan, I am in Sandwich. I used to own a 1951 M37 and loved it. You need to come to the MJT truck show at the fairgrounds at the end of Oct. 28th I think. There are several of us on Cape and one guy who repairs privately owned MV's as a business. You may have seen my truck around as I...
Hey FNG, we have all been there:D Also welcome to the site. Lots of good info here. Seriously you should have no problem towing the M105 as I towed mine from Ft. Dix, NJ to Cape Cod, MA in a snow storm with no problem. I have an F150 so your 2500 should have no issues. Good luck and let us know...
Here is the screen shot from Amazon for the charger. The box I used is a heavy duty unit I found laying around at work. It is heavy wall plastic. The cover is just a modified wall cover . Had to drill out the back for the wiring. Like I said before I haven't tried it charging or under a heavy...
So I decided I wanted to have a 24 volt charger handy and found this unit on A-----. Thought I might as well come up.with a way to charge directly to the truck through the slave port and came up with is setup. Haven't tried to jump start or charge yet but it runs my 1/2" robotool on the jump...
Installed a Promariner 4 bank battery charger removed from a boat. It has multiple modes and looks to be doing a good job so far. It is mounted in the corner and out of the way. Should keep the batteries up to snuff and the cost (free) was right.
I have what I believe is a cab soft top for a HMMHV 2 door model. It is od green and was in the bed of my M105A2 when won at auction from Ft. Dix. Thought it was a cover for the trailer but when I went to put it on I realized it was not correct. Does have a few small tears but I am getting rid...
Hey Pfk70, welcome to the site from Cape Cod, MA and to the hobby. Lots of good info here and quite a few trucks for sale too. Did you know about the big military truck show in northern NJ 21-22 April? Big show and great to bring the kids, they'll love it. Hope you can make it.
So I completed some additions to the truck for convenience and also safety in preparation for the convoy to NJ on April 19. I installed a 24 volt to 12 volt converter with a duel socket under the dash. I also added a backup alarm. I switched it along with the LED back up lights to a marine...
Hey Carman, I use a cargo netting I got from Sportsmans Guide. Don't remember what size but think it is 12' x 20'. You can roll up the sides for better view for riders in the back. I use it for the same reason, remove the cover in the summer but still want some shade. I included a few pics.
Nice field repair work Wes. Lucky that wheel didn't decide to leave the truck and take out a Prius or something. Thanks again for your reports. Love reading them and seeing how much you drive and all the maintenance you do. Great work.
Just bringing this back to the top. Only 4 weeks until the convoy. Hope I can get everything done to the truck that I want to get done. Should be a great time.
Hey Sandcrobra, store the hubs in some 5 ton document boxes from the cab. I picked up 2 of these and mounted them where my spare tire would go as it no longer fits with the convoy light poles installed. I picked them up cheap and one fits in each box pretty well. You can mount them anywhere and...
Here is my 1984 M923 with super singles. When I first saw her she had no engine or trans and the hood was in the bed. She looked pretty solid otherwise and made a deal with "Vintage Iron" and "Elidaclan" and bought her. The deal included removing the engine and trans from Vintage Irons M936 of...
