Finally got into the drum. Had to modify a socket to fit the spindle nut. Its not looking too pretty in there, but Im trying to find out what is causing it to keep locking up and having to adjust the screw...

Cant seem to find the right spindle nut socket for the rear hub... so a little frustrated. The prongs dont seem to fit, looks like I might have to modify it a bit.

Started tearing apart the driverside rear drum/hub to find out why it keeps locking up and needing the adjustment screw backed off constantly. Then going to do some PMCS and a little lube service. Hoping to take it to the Haspin Rally this year so I have my work cut out for me.

I should be in for the river trip as well. Sounds like fun! Might grab a kayak though.

Nope. Definitely no MV needed or even a vehicle to wheel in. My two fall rally's all i had was my little ATV. Plus theres always an open seat in someone's truck. Its a pretty welcoming group of people and I always have a good time out there. So good luck and enjoy Dan!

Congrats to Sparky and Lindsay! That being said I think I might actually be able to make the summer rally for once. Fall rally is always great but I hear the summer rally is a bit more impressive.

Was this one of the HMMWV's that came out of eastern surplus a while back from the Generation Kill show? Just curious as the pant looks like the same pattern under the black.

Just out of curiosity. How big is it? Also good luck with the new M1008, I still like the one I bought off you a while back. Looking for front wheel wells for the M1008. Or I may just get brave and try patching the rust holes in there.

Got the green generator home and a ton of new parts for it and the tan one I will probably need. Mike, if you see this thread, huge thank you for everything! Especially letting me poke around a running 802a and figuring out a few parts I will need. Ill update this thread shortly with pictures...
