I really need to get some pics posted but my computer sucks and it seems to be incredibly difficult to do it off the phone (I dont use tapatalk). The first one I got actually had a complete set of gages, only two maybe three are going to be salvaged. The second one also came from crane so its...
Well I got a genset out of Crane not too long ago, needs work. So in my quest for parts I stumbled across and landed another 802A from the same auction. I'm going to attempt to upload pics as its been a little tricky for me to upload. Initially I will be just attempting to get one up and running...
Ill be looking for a good straight tailgate for the M1008 pickup. Have rough but solid GMC tailgate on there now I can trade towards it or pay cash if anyone has one available.
Looking for MEP 802A parts as well.
I will try to make it. Im scheduled off that weekend for now but could be getting a new job before then. I had a good time at the last fall rally looking forward to another one. Might try to bring the M1008 this time. No 6x6 in my future anytime soon. : /
Can I throw a friendly reminder out there? Guys this is a thread about a used MRAP being put to use by a department. They already have it, its pretty much a done deal. Cheap shots at someone making a logical point as to why an armored vehicle is necessary in certain instances of modern police...
ReubenJames,
Thanks for starting this thread. You're right the green does kind of grow on you with the black offsets. Looks like its off to a good start. Keep up the good work, not sure if you're in charge of maintaining it or how much help I'd be, but I'll happily lend a hand when I'm available.
If your batteries die that quick and easy, you need some new ones. Or you need to look at your alternators and make sure theyr're actually charging. Inspect your starter and maybe a quick tune up on the glow pugs. The TMs are free and a big help even in the troubleshooting section. MD doesnt get...
Well are you looking to bring your 998 back to as issued to Mux for display or? I'm not sure what they issued through the 90's or back into the 80's. But their primary stuff based on the age of the stuff we were using. Primarily there was a 2 way microwave antenna and mast (one horizontal...
Yup. I use a similar spreadsheet. emmado22, Let me know what specifically you're looking for. A buddy of mine was in Mux Plt for my old unit. I may be able to track down some pics of the Mux set up.
I think they can to an extent. I'm not an admin guru but I'd say they probably dont change often. Maybe if they stand up an old unit they may reassign it.
emmado, I'm still looking for your unit number... I'm kinda bored and for once this is something I actually know a little about. The Mux guys would use the smarT satlite trailers and TISR microwave transmitters. Higher amprage definitely makes sense there.
Whats tricky is normally the RUC/UIC...
I don't use the -10 as much as I should, or should have. I have used the -20 and the -34 quite a bit though, especially the -34
