I may be interested however being as Ive never dealt with the whole sf97 process and some of the titling horror stories Ive heard, Ill have to do a lot more research on how that works.
Welcome to steelsoldiers.com please do a search, there are about a hundred threads on the topic. Also the tab at the top that says "Technical Manuals" would be a great place to start. The "-10" Manual is the operator manual and should have a pre-trip inspection check list. Also look for a...
I'll take one if you still have one available.
Depending on how a few things go I may be looking for a M101A2, M101A3, or possibly one of the M1101 or M1102 trailers.
*Edit to add: I may be looking for a cargo cover for an M101A2 trailer and ammo cans
gungearz,
Its looking like about 80-85% that I will be there atleast for saturday and into saturday night (might go back that night or sunday morning). I have one of those big radar scattering camo netting systems you guys can use for a canopy if you need it. I don't want to commit to bringing...
I used to play too. Now its just an on and off thing. I've thought about volunteering the M1008 for a game or two nearby but it still needs a bit more work before I go that route.
Driving my little CUCV to haspin will be the longest drive I've ever taken in it so, I may try to grab a number or...
With as heavy as parts are for these trucks I'd be looking to shave any weight I could. Plus the traps are easier to maneuver through rough terrain. I was skidding logs with a tractor and ATV a few weeks ago, the straps and even the ropes we used were so much easier and safer than the chain we...
Well what are they hooked to? Seems like they go towards the antenna and a power block on the wall where the radios used to sit? I'm really not familiar with the M1009's though so I could be pretty wrong that. Have you checked the TM's? I recall seeing something in I think the 34 about the radio...
I dont think I get anywhere near 20MPG in my M1008. Maybe 14MPG, its all stock though, no 700R4 or GearVender overdrive, no lift. I definitely wouldnt recommend interstate highway travel bone stock and loaded down with a polaris ranger in the bed. But they are pretty good simple trucks. I like mine.
Its running for the most part. I need to do that dang oil pan gasket, and get the passendgerside front hub re lubed and inspect the king pin over there. But it still runs, its my daily driver for a few weeks while I save up for a new car. Keep having issues with the driverside rear brake...
The M1008 has become my daily driver... my car self destructed. I keep having to adjust that driverside rear brake drum though. It keeps tightening up and sticking the brake on. I'm still trying to figure out why its doing that.
Weird, they gave me full coverage at a great price on the M1008. Progressive refused anything but liability only and wanted a lot for that. Weird how it varies state to state. I generally dont buy anything with a salvage title though, just a lot of issues getting everything insured and transfered.
