Yea I think these windows were a last minute idea that wasn't tested properly. When I bought the truck the window didn't roll down, so I bought the regulator from LMC and coated everything with grease before reassembling. That's something I don't want to do again. Luckily, the only problem...
Finally got around to fixing my rear window crank. Fashioned a couple square washers and got a bigger screw on one side that was stripped. I still baby it though.

I think I fixed it this time. I pulled the dash and polished the PCB with an eraser to get better contact on Gen2. I replaced a handful of fusible links under the hood, and removed and cleaned all terminals on gen2. I found a blue (10 ga?) fusible link at the pos terminal board that was...
Does it matter which bolt the rear POS batt cable is attached to on the terminal board? I have been having the same problems, rear batt not charging. I have to charge it once a week it seems, since it is my daily driver. The front batt is fine, and both alternators are working. I opened the...
I thought about getting a center console but I like that I am able to spin and walk to the back seat. I have a suburban (that I would love to steal the back seat out of) and I hate how I can't reach around the back if I need to.

Thanks! I have two speaker boxes behind the front seats. I mounted some brackets behind the dash and put two 6x9 speakers there. One behind the glove box and one to the left of the steering wheel. Tight fit but I got them in. The speakers and radio were free so I just had them laying around...
I like the ammo can! Prefer to keep my pistol close and ready but I'm sure I could find some use for it. Tools and whatnot.

old thread. But, any pics of cupholders placed where the fire extinguisher was? Thought I was a genius for thinking of using the mount for a cup holder, the search function once again proves I know very little, haha.
I *think* i fixed Gen 2. I replaced a couple of fusible links, both voltmeter and gen2 relays, and now the voltmeter reads right at the top of the green. Also added a radio, and found out the previous owner only had the antenna installed for looks.
Figured I'd start here instead of a new thread...
My Rear battery is not charging, reading 12.4 while at idle. The alt 2 is reading 27v, alt 1(driver side) is 14.7v, and front batt is 14.7v. I had auto zone check it for me, and the guy was actually honest enough to admit he had no idea about...
Replaced glow plugs, none were swollen! put new batteries in and four days later they are dead. Took to Auto Zone and turns out neither alt was charging. cleaned contacts on the dummy lights, alt 1 works fine, alt 2 may need to be replaced.
