I almost started a new thread to look for this part but decided to try searching first. I think I'll skip googling naughty things at work and just hit lowes after the Christmas madness slows.
If its a random stop I would guess its the switch. I have to jiggle the turn lever sometimes to get it to start again. Something I'm willing to live with for a while since its a pain to replace
I'm having issues with the wipers on my CUCV. I put a new (re-manufactured) motor on it, and now lo and hi are the same speed, BUT I can hear the motor work harder on the hi setting.
Note, before the motor swap, I had the lo setting, but when i selected hi, the wipers would stop in its...
It's done! I laid down one thick base coat (against manufacturers instructions) and then one thin coat to fill any spots I missed with the first coat. I let it dry for about a week and a half before I bolted the seats and other hardware in. I put durabak on the seat frames to both protect and...
Drilled out a stripped seat belt bolt in the bed. Vacuumed and taped in preparation for durabak.
Anyone have ideas for sealing random holes in the bed before durabak? Pencil sized holes, not from rust
I got some time a couple weeks ago to get the top and seats out. Then my daily driver (03 trailblazer) lost third gear. So I threw the drivers seat back in the cucv and drove it around topless for about a week while a new tranny got put in the trailblazer. Anyway here are the pics so far, I'm...

Drove it home tonight. I'm very happy with the results. The floor doesn't sink when I sit in the seat anymore! He also did the rockers. He cut the rust out of the bottom of the tailgate and put some new metal in. Next on the agenda is durabak.
I'm happy with the price. He said he'd take pics of the progress for me. I've used him before on other projects for other vehicles and am not worried about him cutting corners.
He said 2 weeks, so a week and a half to go. Pics coming soon!
$1400 for the parts and labor for the floor replacement, and rockers.
The durabak I'm gonna attempt myself, and the lift would be extra should I pull the trigger.
Old thread, but... Rather than clog the system up with a new thread I figured this'll do.
Finally scrounged up enough cash to get the floor replaced. It's at the shop now. Along with the floor pans, it's also getting new inner/outer rockers, and I'm gonna DIY durabak it. Might even throw in a...
