Windshield wiper parking problem?? More unusual that your average case!

Well that is very strange, Just out of curiosity did you try turning it off at different points (1/4 way, 1/2 way, etc)? Could you move them down to the "normal" position by hand? If that is the case perhaps it is just loose or it could be when you are moving it is raising them up from the speed...

    Opinions on M1009 Purchase

I will say after I bought my m1009 I was very excited, I love the way it runs and drives. It did need a bunch of work. Needed Transmission Pan, vac lines, vac modulator, power steering lines, transmission cooling lines, new headlights, etc. I still have a bunch of work left to before I call it...

    My New M1009

Yeah I am like you with my first m1009, it is what I would call a "learning m1009". I am fixing problem areas and trying to restore this thing to mechanically sound then diving into the body work and final touches. Currently working on transmission issues (cooling and pan), glow plug...

    M1009 towing capacity question

https://m.summitracing.com/parts/bmm-70268 that is the cooler I plan on putting in. I did replace the original lines but it still seems to run fairly hot so it will be worth while investment.

    M1009 towing capacity question

Alright thank you, I have already gone through the brakes and they are good. I do plan on replacing the shocks because they are pretty bad. I do have a few other things to get buttoned up before I tow anything. I need to get a new transmission pan (larger with 1.5 extra capacity) because someone...

    M1009 towing capacity question

I have done a little research and I am still a little confused on towing capacity on an m1009. I am looking to haul a small utility trailer with a lawnmower and/or a sport quad (maybe 3000lbs max). I am I able to haul it legally?

    M1009 Lift Suggestions needed

From what I have read, putting on a 4" Lift does not mess up the pinion angle enough to make it so far out of wack to have to shim it. Also did you have a local shop make up the springs or did you buy it somewhere else?

    1985 CUCV M1009 "The Colonel"

I am first going to try swapping out the temp sensor and see it is recognizes higher temps. I did read it cuts out the circuit at ~120F, It was only 80F yesterday and cloudy and the glowplugs came on real quick then went away. I would presume it would be the sensor then. My brother suggested...

    1985 CUCV M1009 "The Colonel"

Well I officially became a M1009 owner yesterday and I could not be happier! I drove it from State College, Pa all the way to New Castle, Pa and I was smiling from ear to ear. I only had 2 problems getting it home, 1st it would not start after I parked it for about 2 and half hours and 2nd it...

A 1 hour drive is nothing to me. That is my daily commute to work. All I was looking for was a good starter CUCV and built my collection from there. I am looking forward to owning more including a M35A2. I am 22 so I have some time to gather my collection.

I very happy to be apart of your forums. I have read through numerous posts when I was looking to purchase and M1008 or M1009. I ended up buying an M1009 from a gentlemen near State College, Pa. I do not currently own it but I am going to get it this Friday or Saturday. Picked it up for 3K which...
