Hey...
Thanks fussytoaster
Thanks for the vote of confidence. I will steer the young tech away from letting his posts look like ads. I will try and do them same. We just cant get enough of MV's thats why we drive them, work on them, and after work study them. chevyrac66 last post was on a paintjob...
asking vs selling
Yea really, that was the asking price, not the selling price. I think that truck sold to an army pilot here in denver. he is happy with it and he may be a member here. The kid that started this post is a new member and he was excited about his job and what he did today. The...
why insult customers?
Well the trucks cost from 685 up to 4200.00 per truck. shipping was 590X73 units, we do a bit more than an oil change, and we havent sold one for 8995 yet. Wecome to America buddy, we provide a service that americans want and desire, we employ other americans who enjoy...
Nice job guys, Next time wear your stay puff marshmellow man suits. I know it was Sunday and all, but you've got to be safe, at lease the GCI paint was not activated. See you at work tommorrow, do you need a new suit?
I think you just said they would 86 from their deal If I expect them to conduct themselfs with high standards. Thats exactly why I am done with them. Others feel the same.
I did'nt get a raw deal. The money is not the problem, the problem is one of integrity and the companies lack of it. Untill and unless customers refuse to put up with nonsense it will continue. In the end everyone will suffer, the customers, the employees, and the business itself. IMHO
I have had enough with GL. Poor customer service is the main problem. clerical errors on their end is another. They have the attitude that they make all the rules and we just have to accept them, even when they change or are modified to suit them. I am done with GL. I will pursue this hobby...

some help
1. get a block heater, install it in a freeze plug in the drivers side freeze plug hole from NAPA
2. keep it plugged in overnite
3. test you glow plugs, LOTS of "how to's" right on this site, use the search feature
4. Tech manuals listed under the resources button.
5. Most CUCV...
My truck was acting up the same way, i ran "sea foam" trans conditioner in it and it perked it right up. maybe gummed up internal parts? hope that helps.
i need a source for a quanity of hard copies of the operators manual for the cucv's. Also, were they generally kept in the vehicle when the trucks were in service? anyone know who has some of the books? thanks in advance
I just did this swap... make the m1008 axles look like the m1009 after that its a bolt on. I installed a ORD shackle lift with poly bushings and greasable bolts/pins at the same time. you might save youself some time if you plan out the swap and try to get all the mods done at the same time:wink:
Mine is a 83 m35a2c from the air force, it has all the features you listed, down to the dark green drab paint. why did they have the split brake system? thanks for the info on the trucks:-D
