Check your connections on the doghead relay Make sure they are tight. Mine were not, it did everything except crank. Good luck

Check the fusible link for Gen 2 that comes off the diamond shaped junction block. Mine looked good, but pulled apart when I touched it.

I had Gen 2 issues forever. I replaced the fusible link going to Gen 2, swapped Gen 1 & 2, the problem followed the alternator. Replaced Gen 1 with the Caddy alt from Autozone. I got 29 volts under the hood now and everything is different, stuff works now that I had kind of written off. The...

I have one on my tractor, works well for me. I put a block heater on the truck, the GM one. Haven't used it yet, but it's there.

Mine did everything except crank the engine over. I had failed to correctly crimp the electrical connectors when I replaced the Doghead relay. But it worked fine for 2 years til I moved the plate everything is bolted to off the dash. Double check the stuff you think is good also.
