Trying to get some other weekend details finalized (another M151 for East Wind) but it is looking like I should be back in town by Saturday night so I may scoot on up for a bit on Sunday as well. I'll need to pull the top down on the 151 stuff the radios on board and load on all the slinky...
That one seems to mostly be equipment rather than vehicles.
Good one for sure but has things like dough proofing cabinets, water purification units etc instead of the "normal" trucks.
Both of those are the 1990 versions for the 3 color NATO pattern.
What I am looking for is the 1976 version for the 4 color MERDC patterns.
I can find bits and pieces of this one, but not the whole thing.
TB43-0209 (1976)
I am looking for the 1976 version detailing all the MERDC 4 color patterns. I have MOST of the patterns I need for vehicles we're doing but just having the whole thing would be a big help.
Thanks!
Excellent, I just wanted to make sure :)
Edit: Going to tie up the remaining repair work on the M151 and plan to be out with that little monster for sure on Monday morning.
I'll try to boondock it on up there in my M151 on Monday depending on when I get back in town. It's small and can slink in somewhere pretty easily. Most of the rest of my stuff is in the midst of it's post East Wind PMCS so is not really in fit to show form.
Did just get the smoke...
On the Big/small thing KcClay a reasonable case can be made for taking the big stuff out just for the fact that you CAN actually get out and trail ride quite effectively at D-Day with big stuff. Small stuff is always fun to ride around with of course, but there are not that many places where...
Come on down Stagg! You can watch out for IEDs for us when we trail ride. Your Mutt ought to be ready to roll by then, there just is not that much wrong with that one.
As requested smoke pics:
The Deuce is not to bad to travel in when it's warm. I just pop open the windshields and roll all the rest of the windows up. Pressure keeps all the engine and transmission heat out and with the rest of the windows open you're not stuck in hurricane winds.
The M880 on the other hand is...
We don’t really do WW2 stuff at all. Just late Cold War unless we are stuck having to substitute something to make up for an actual shortage of period correct stuff.
Good example of that is we use a vismod hard cab 404 unimog with winch to substitute for an East German Robur truck since...
Not really a road trip per say but certainly a trip.
Earlier this month we ran the 6th annual Operation East Wind event down at D-Day Adventure Park in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. For those of you who do not know what East Wind is, the short answer is that East Wind is a 9 day long 24/7 tactical...
Are you having trouble with the bolts or is it all just sort of stuck together?
Mine came apart with little to no hassle at all but that is also sort of just the way my truck is, it's never particularly disagreeable when being worked on.
I do not remember the value but I do remember this:
Make sure your retorque them a time or two in the weeks following if you are doing a bit of driving with it. It took about 3 times on mine for everything to finally settle into place and stay at spec.
I wouldn't do that. WAY too much caster angle then. You're going from one extreme to another.
Just pull it apart and stuff some shims in it like I did. Mine drives quite well now.

Lucky is a pretty good guy, I have done quite a bit of trading with him over the years.
I am in KC as well, have Deuce, M882 and an M151.
We've got a pretty good group in this area.
I also plan to make it out to Apple Days, hopefully I'll be driving the M151 out if I manage to get the plates and tires all sorted out by then.
I am in Kansas City (although I am up in Winnepeg Manitoba right this moment). Both FlyingVan911 and I are both pretty close by with both of us living towards the center of the city. We're not only deuce owners but also general tinkerers so we're always working on some vehicle or another...
I have actually had very good luck with the two ebay sellers who routinely list out of Cyprus and Israel, both are top notch guys in my book. I have always steered clear of Tactical X-Hire since he seemed extra weasely and have instead bought all my clansman stuff from the seller in Norfolk...
