Obviously I have not been on the site in a long time. Been tied up trying to learn welding. They refunded my $, had no product. Looks like they are available again from the posts above. That is a great thing! Looks like I'll be contacting Ziggy since Chris (Gimpy) says it is the right item...
Jama is correct. As I recall, the spacer is not necessarily needed. I know several I've seen did not have a spacer. Expensive little dude unless you fabricate one.

Wouldn't we all dream of 600K, Jim? It happens all the time on over-the-road trucks. Military gens should be built to similar endurance expectations. I don't have the same level of confidence in the most modern units or trucks. Too many electronics.
The starter switch position you are going to is only for priming the fuel system. Once started, don't turn it back to prime/aux or you will kill the engine. Once it is running, just release the spring loaded position of the starter switch. Your unit is acting as it should.
Welcome BTW.
002a will not work for that application. something like 26 amps max on 220. Typical AC or heat pump requires 30-40 amps starting power. All this has probably been said earlier in this thread but I'm tired and only cherry picked the latest post.

I haven't been here in a while. Got wrapped up in trying to learn how to weld (really in how to buy too much equipment). I think I have a couple of the solenoids. My e-mail is below or PM me.

Same here with the power situation but we did have about a 6 hour outage a month ago when a guy hit a feed pole and the transformer landed on his car! Took a while for the rescue squad to be able to assist because the car was live! Used Peter's auto cycle gadget to fire up the 003a and enjoyed...
Good going! I still question your hook up. Only L1, L3 and L0 are involved in producing 240V, as I recall. Not looking at my units at present and am old, so if wrong, forgive me. L2 is only involved with 3 phase.

If Gimpy's suggestion doesn't work, try putting the fins in a large vise and work the flats of injector body back and forth with a large pipe wrench or crescent wrench until the body loosens. Then drive the body out of the fin assembly with a 1/2 or 5/5" wood dowel and a hammer. If sent here...
Ray,
I've gone hog-wild! Have a beauty of an old ideal-arc 250 (the one you referred to) , a Lincoln SP125+, 2 oxy-acet rigs (large), a 20 year old century ac/dc unit with HF unit and tig torch and ALSO a 2008 Miller 350LX Tigrunner with cooler (less than 200 hours on it). Have taken 3...
