I'm going to start off by saying, I'm probably doing this ALL WRONG. I was told that the deuces clutch is NEVER supposed to be slipped, so in all situations the clutch is designed to be let out rapidly/immediately. Ok, so that's what I've been doing since he said that, and the results feel...
Just a question about the deuces acceleration. When I have the throttle in my deuce fully open in 5th gear, high range. It will reach 2000 to 2100 rpms effortlessly, but then it appears to slowly creep up to the rpm range i want to be in (2300-2350). I don't know if this is normal behavior, just...
The original owner of my truck completely ruined the crank for the window inside the door. It's so horribly bent inside the door that it's nearly impossible to move. Anyways, I started off by removing the 4 screws for the crank and then the window crank handle. I then tried to force the window...
Some things that I've noticed about the truck: It grinds gears often, it fully pops out of 3rd gear unless I hold it down with a lot of force and it has loose steering. Easy fixes? My guess is the transmission is going, I don't know about the loose steering.
i went for a walk behind my school today and to my total surprise they have a used motor oil dumping station for some strange reason. I think I may try seeing if I could buy it off em. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22582771/WP_000039.jpg
I've been searching for a measurement on the height of the deuces bed whence the bows and canvas are on it. I plan to stack some furniture and boxes inside it and need to know. Thanks!
Basically, my deuce needs a new headlight. I read somewhere on here that the part number i needed was "4863" at napa. I went to napa and was told that the part number was "obsolete", but the man there said that part number "4800" (I think he said it's a 24v lamp) might work. Any ideas, on what...
I'm finding it very hard to get my new m35a2 insured. My current company "cross insurance" has been trying to find an underwriter for 3 weeks now. They tell me that I am unable to get my vehicle insured as an antique because I'm under 25 years old ( I'm 20). Basically It seems like I spent $4000...
Here's what I've accumulated so far for the trip to pickup my m35a2 this weekend. Just wondering if everything looks good and any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, will that motor oil be ok for an ip lubricant?
I'm planning to go pickup my new m35a2 next friday, so considering it doesn't have a heater in it I purchased some camp cooking (gel based) fuel. I plan to use them for a heat source, they last about 2 1/2 hours each (i have 4). Wondering two things, Is this safe in terms of inhalation (fuel is...
I've been offered 2 cargo covers, differences being one is "rubberized" camo pattern and the other is canvas olive drab. Is one better than the other, which one should I go for?
On the m35a2 I purchased there's a large hole from rust in what the guy said was the "J-Pipe". Is this anything to be concerned about, is this an easy repair/replacement and is this a typical spot for rust?
I just purchased my first deuce (m35a2), so I'm fresh and new to all of this. Basically, I'm wondering what would be the most cost effective fuel to use since diesel prices are so high right now. I was reading and trying to understand the process of creating biodiesel, but unfortunately it...
I just purchased my first ever deuce truck. It's the M35A2 and I purchased it from a guy in Bloomingburg New York. What would be the best way of getting it to where I am (Bangor, Maine)? Would shipping be expensive?
