    Deuce light switch overheat?

Ok, more trouble shooting at the campsite. The switch is fine with just the service lights. When headlight&clearance lights are on, trips in about 4 seconds, but resets in just a minute or two. Still trips with turn signal connector disconnect and/or headlights removed. And the switch in the...

    Deuce light switch overheat?

Driving to PA from MD yesterday and the three level light switch became intermittent after 1 1/2 hours of driving. It would flash twice for a turn then shut off. I was running with all my lights on but when it shutoff no lights works at all. After about an hour of being off it would flash 4...

Just got my M1009, what a beast! Lots to learn!!

Welcome to the addiction! For the Gen2 light, check your belt tension and mounting bolts for the alternators (there are two of them). Might as well check the power steering bracket when you are in there. As far as the dash lights, you rotate the headlight knob to adjust the brightness. If you...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I got the hitch from TM America on this site. Excellent workmanship. Add a 12" receiver tube and weld it up. Kit comes with the two large plates and two spacers. Make sure you leave enough room from the top of the spacer to the frame. I clamped mine together first and measured to check the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Busy day, mounted a receiver hitch, manually activated backup light, pulled the cable from the receiver to the cab for brakes, installed a Dynomax 21470 muffler from Summit Racing. Don't have a DB reading yet but the sound is definitely deeper and less harsh.Curing the paint right now - 10 min...

NATO plug: What is it? Can a plug be made that will work?

It is the military version of a jumper cable. There are two kinds that I know of, single round and two pin. I have the single round on my M1009 and M35A2, and I added a plug on my 24V alternative power system so I can either use the M1009 as a supplemental 2000W 24V generator or jump my...

Pulse Charge Monitor Distribution System Installation

It looks like over a hundred of these have probably been sold in the last few months, and no pictures? I'll be working on the Deuce tomorrow, did some trials this evening. Passenger seat area is out since I am switching to MRAP seats. Right now it looks like it is in the passenger toe kick...

Love that website, tempted to use it for some people at work but that would probably not go over that well!

Best way to make custom ram air/ cold air?

I ran an LMC duct from the air cleaner to the passenger grill knockout a year ago. Biggest improvement was about 3dB in the sound level. A clean air filter makes a bigger difference ;-)

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Drove in the (heavy) rain for the first time. Wipers are over rated in the deuce, should I really spend the time to get them working?

Ham Radio Operators / Steel Soldiers

Hun a term of endearment, typically for men but not limited to men. It must really be a Baltimore thing, and I must really be a Marylaner now ;-)

    CUCV Locking Fuel Cap

I thought all CUCV owners effectively left their keys in the ignition all the time! Doubly true on a Deuce.
