I put it in the tank to, usually right before i fill it so it gets mixed well. although im sure it gets blended in pretty good anyway just driving around. it does help break up engine deposits so if you use it in your motor oil and dont use it regularly just once a year or something like...
all i can help you with is that the pto will attach to the pump via a shaft, and it will be engaged by mechanical means through a either a lever like on a deuce or a pull knob like on some dump trucks
as much as they weigh, it dosnt take much to turn one from a truck to a submarine in a deep mudhole. glad you got yours out without any damage, and nice looking truck
looks great. i especially like how you took the time to make it look original. if you dont have an original replacement or the equipment to make something up, that fiberglass patch stuff junkyardjohn talked about is great stuff and easy to use
it would be nice for extra fuel for long off roading and back country trips without having to haul a bunch of jerry cans with you all the time. i know its a pain, but i would run them separate just for a little more reassurance. thought its still a great idea to carry and extra pump with you
im in, it will either be just the deuce, or the deuce and a van depending on if the wife goes or not. i know ill feel alot better going up with others instead of just myself just in case something happens
another thing, it looks like it is probably just me going and not my wife, if that is the case, i would be more then willing to give the driver seat of my truck to any current or former military members who would otherwise be in a civy rig for the convoy.
i havnt run any in mine yet, but my uncle has run a 80/20 mix for the last 7 years as a almost daily driver. he does run every fifth tank or so straight diesel with two quarts of atf in it. he only adds the atf because a old army mechanic friend of his told him it helps. no problems so far
