Nice, cheap, and easy setup. i started using sock filters too, i also throw a few rare earth magnets in the first two, probably not necessary, just for piece of mind. it does help the first sock to last longer though as the metal shavings are a pain to get out of them when cleaning.
i tend to view them as two totally different trucks. of coarse a newer truck is going to have some nicer things on it, there are features on a a3 that i would love to have on my a2 and im sure some a3 owners would prefer a manual trans. there both good trucks, and there is absolutely no reason...
i need to replace the bendix on my starter in my 70 ldt continental deuce and i cant find any number stamped on it or on a tag on the starter so that i can order the right bendix. if anyone happens to know the model number for the starter and a good source for the parts, i would most appreciate it.
i would take off the pto just because its one more thing to fight with when it comes to getting everything up there and jockeying stuff around. i have used a tranny jack from harbor freight before, it worked good the only thing i didnt like and this might have just been mine but the pressure...
i swung by quarkz place today and meet him for the first time. he is a really good guy and he has a lot of really really cool stuff at his place. the pictures of the bobber dont do it justice, there is a lot of nice fab work and attention to detail. its going to look awsome when its done.
i use the bag filters and have a few rare earth magnets thrown in the first two bags just to make sure there is as little metal shavings as possible. beyond that i filter to one micron. it takes overnight in the bags for 5 gallons but at least its free
buying a mv was one of the best decisions in my life, i love it, my wife loves it, my kids love it. there just all around fun to have a drive around. but there kind of like potato chips, you cant just have one
so, how many people do we have up north when we get there to try and get this thing drivable. im looking forward to meeting some of the members from the west side.
wsucougarx is right about prices on this side for trucks and stuff. everything is about 20 percent more expensive it seems. good luck selling it. are you selling the pto with it
it really depends. they are very heavy and therefore very expensive to ship so that will kind of limit the number of people after it. that said you should get at least 700 i would think and most likely more then that.
i saw a quick thing on the news about pnnl but didnt catch what it was about. the book is online, and also free at the dmv if you want to try and push your way through the tide of people to get one. that office in kennewick is always standing room only
hammer is right about the written test, most of it is common sense stuff with a few number questions thrown in about when air compressors come on and off and what not. if you read the book threw once, there is no reason anyone couldn't pass it
i believe farmers can drive 100 miles as the bird flies from there land, but i dont know how it effects what you can haul and what not. i do know that the truck has to be marked with the name of the farm though.
the state is making it harder and harder and more annoying to get every year it...
