awsome, just awsome. if you ever need a deuce, i think a straight trade could be worked out. seriously though what a great looking tank, and i love the sound of the motor
there's nothing wrong with it legal wise, since the mirrors are on the cab. at least here is Washington, as long as you have two mirrors, it doesn't matter if the doors are on or off. i havnt done it in my deuce, but in my scouts i always ran door less.
and the dude has been a member here since 2009, i am all for a rule that takes into account time in for posting. there are alot of guys that have stuff or know were cool stuff is but just don't have the post number to fill us in. i can see the reasoning for the post number thing, but after a...
as far as what gun i used, it was one of those ones that snaps on to the top of a rattle can. im going to throw on the black and brown next weekend. for the bumper, gas tank, and all frame and under bed i used that spray on bedliner stuff. it covers real good and i like the high contrast...
i think i will do the three colors, it was like five before i started, and there were areas where it had been painted with a brush, so anything is a improvment
finally got around to painting my truck. i got it last February from a member on here. its a really strong runner and good all around truck. here are some pics of how far i am so far. i still need to paint the gas tank and frame. i am torn between keeping it green or doing the three color.
you would think that since the vehicles were purchased with our tax money, that we should have some kind of say as to what happens to them when the government throws them out. i hate seeing ads from gsa or others that require mutilation or the out right denial of selling other vehicles to...
i had this happen on a older truck of mine, the problem was weak primary return springs in the brakes. they were not applying enough return force against the wheel cylinders.
i have used some very similar substances and they work OK, the metal has to be super clean, then you will want to texture it just a bit with a sander or something to give it more surface area, then give it three times longer to set up then they say. besides that they take paint well and are...
i hope all you guys have a great time. my son is out of the hospital now but the wife would feel more comfortable if i stayed home a few days just in case. well at least it gives me a chance to get the deuce painted this weekend.
im going to freehand mine when i paint it next weekend. even if its not exact it cant help but look better then it does now. on my deuce, i am thinking about matching the color pattern on the bed with my tarp. what are you painting
exactly what chief said, and those optima batteries are great things to have. by the way, are you going to permanently mount it to the front, or mount it to a receiver so you can use it in front and back. i did that to all my off road rigs i had, best thing i ever did
when i filter through socks, i like to throw in a couple rare earth magnets, its kind of amazing how much metal "dust" they attract and it helps keep the shaving out of the sock. i know socks are cheap, but it extends there life a bit, making your fuel that much cheaper in the long run
you can just buy a cheap 12 volt set up from napa or were ever and throw in a 24 volt bulb. then just wire it in to your tail lights using a water proof connector of any type. thats all there is to it
one way to tell if its major damage is disconnect that axle from the other and take it for a drive then listen for unusual noises or feel if anything is different. i have never seen chuncks that size come out of a axle and there not be anything wrong with it. also, are the parts shiny metal...
