There is absolutely no reason to drop the turbo to drill and tap the manifold. If you're worried about it put some grease on your bit and tap. The shavings will be so small they will just blow right through the volute.

I've seen folks pulling the M105 behind a M1009...not a pretty sight and I gave them plenty of room around me!!!!! M101, not so bad as it sits pretty level, but still a bit heavy for the 1009, especially loaded.

Why do you want X doors? The 1044 had the supplemental armor doors. Never seen another 1044, but I have a 1043, same thing no winch.
