This morning I borrowed a trailer and headed down to Tucson to pick up my tires (16.00 XZL's)...they barely fit... I pre-paid for 4 tires at 50% tread or less, but got tires that appear to be 75% or better! Also, they were already mounted on 12 bolt MRAP wheels and the owner of the place...
I just got a call from Local Motors and my other rear block/spring perch and top spring plates are finished on the waterjet. So, it looks like the saw is coming out this Sunday!!

No, you're absolutely right; I thought for sure I posted in the correct place.
Can a mod please move this for me to the appropriate section?

I'm still doing research on it, but I'd like to use a 6" lift if possible. If not, I'll go with an 8" lift similar to this one:

Not sure about the wheels yet though... Hopefully, the place I'm buying the tires from has...
Well, if you've read my posts lately, then you know that I've been having problems getting my wheels/tires from Hooks, TX to AZ. So, I've decided to just sell the items to another forum member in TX. I found a place in Tucson that sells the tires that I really wanted in the first place (16.00...
I also put the trailer bed on just as light was fading for the heck of it. Note: rear axle obviously isn't in the right spot yet, and there's no real "suspension" yet, so that's why there's a lot of rake in it at the moment.

I stopped by the shop last night after work and got started on the rear blocks / spring perches on the waterjet. For this smaller-sized machine, it's going to take nearly 2 hours per block @ 2.5" thick. I also need to cut out some spring plates.

Looks like you're off to a great start! I saw a RUST-FREE tub/fenders/etc. for an 'A1 local to me that was for sale pretty cheap (in my opinion). It was at a metal scrapper waiting about a month or so ago. :( It's too bad I'm not wealthy enough to save them all...
But I gotta say, your...
On another note... At the end of yesterday's festivities when we were trying to get the truck out of the shop, the rear driveshaft was wired up since it wasn't connected. I had planned on driving the truck out to the parking lot by using the front axle, but noticed that the front driveshaft...
Well, technically the axle is suspended (albeit rigidly) from the truck chassis...lol. Good enough for now. With any luck I'll have time to remove it and fix it right this coming Tuesday or Thursday.

Oh, and Castle Bravo showed up in his 5T;  It's the first time I've seen a 5T in person, and I'm officially in love (with the truck, mind you...); one of these WILL be mine in the future...
Here's my ugly mug and his beauty: (I needed to get one with me in it for size reference...
At 8AM this morning, I showed up at LM labs and got right to work on the deuce. A friend of mine, who also works there, a few other guys from the local jeep forum, and our very own Castle Bravo and M35A2-AZ showed up to help. I can't thank these guys enough for their time today; we got a lot...
Thanks for the info Redbeard; I haven't had time to measure the OD of the rear shaft yet. Luckily, I live in the "land of fab" and there's plenty of shops around that can make or lengthen the shaft for me.
Yesterday after work, I stopped by one of the local shops and had some new u-bolts...
Great! Yeah, I saw "ford man" and "pana" and put 2 and 2 together...lol. I dropped off the deuce tonight and plan to start working on it early Saturday. Here it is sitting in their parking lot:
