Very cool, DR! I would love to have a car like that... if I ever get another car, that is. Before my truck I had a Probe, loved it, but at 6'4", I got sick of getting into/out of the dang thing! Getting a truck has been good for my back!
Jeepthrills with a Jeep? Didn't see THAT coming!
Very nice, though. I'd like to re-engine the Exploder to a V-8, someday. 4.0L V-6 right now - it's pretty damn good for a V-6, but I always want more! <img...
So, I'm just curious what anyone out there is using as their daily driver? What sort of vehicle preference does the MV community have?
I've got a 1991 Eddie Bauer Ford Exploder, "It's Official."

Hey Guys,
DR - Thanks! But this DOES cover through Vietnam - 1964-post-vietnam! So the Vietnam-era olive drab paint scheme is covered in this publication.
As for Korea, sorry, I don't have that one yet. I just happened across this one...
Well, it's a TB (technical bulletin), so it's a publication all it's own. I found the original copy on Army Radio Sales Co. website, and converted it to word a while back. Now that I'm at school and have access to Adobe PDF software, I got it converted over. It covers Army markings from...
I gotta say, the wrecker idea sounds good to me, too. Especially considering a commercial rig capable of towing the sucker is gonna run you... BIG TIME. Better hope you can fix it or tow it yourself...
That's a tough call... they're both expensive pains in the ass! I'd think a rebuild would be cheaper, but I'm not much of a wrenchmonkey so I dunno.
Sure is a tough break.
Update on my situation, got a call from my dad (I'm up at school now, hence the lack of posts lately), and he got us some paint from a local source, aparently another MV enthusiast who had some for us. I think he said he got us a new canvas cab cover and cargo cover, too. Woo! :)
Awesome. Will have to give you a ring. I already picked up two headsets, but I'll probably be getting two more, and I'm still shopping for the actual intercom system.

LH,
Have you tried refreshing, and making sure you've got the most recent version of the page cached? I know there were some problems with the forum link at the onset, but they seem to be fixed now, from what I can see. Site loads up, menu bar is actually pretty small on the left side, click...
For now, LH, I'd suggest right-clicking and opening the forum in a new page. I prefer full-page browsing myself. Shoot, I just made myself a direct link to the forum!
I would also be very interested in this! I was just talking to Todd about this last night, it seems my previous identification of my Deuce might be a bit off. The guy we bought it from specialized in turning 2-3 parts trucks into one running truck. When we bought it, he asked my dad what year he...
In the Air Force, we call this "Low-vis grey."

Not sure it has the same effect on the ground, though... Maybe in San Fransisco, it should blend in with fog really...
Hehehe. I know that feeling! That's why they make caffine... Though Kentucky is probably more east than anything. I dunno, I'd have to look at a map. But it is definitely "The South!"
