Alredneck: It can wait until the first of the month.
Frodo: The idea for the Weasel came from the work of British inventor Geoffrey Pyke in support of his proposals to attack Axis forces and industrial installations in Norway. Pyke's plan to hamper the German atomic weapons development...
Thanks for the offer.
Working out the details right now. Would prefer haul from Shreveport to Louisville. I will consider Georgia if left with no options.
Is there any options for placing the Weasel in the back of a rental truck ? My Deuce is a roadworthy deuce but it is not DAV friendly at...
Anyone near Shreveport want to haul a Weasel (will fit into the bed of a deuce) to Louisville Kentucky from Shreveport Louisiana ?
PM me for contact info and directions.
Sounds like I was not too far off. I also mounted mine on the left rear mudflap. Used a set of old skate plate rubber truck mounts to keep the plate off the metal. Used a license frame which had holes spaced far enough apart to avoid drilling holes in the flap.
Depends on what your states...
Depends if you are talking about rifle mounts for a deuce. Yes, someone here probably has them and will contact you with an offer. However, if you don't want this bumped down in the forum, post your wants in the classified section and you will get hits.
Depends if it is 6061-T6 or 6061-O alloy. One has 18,000 psi tensile strength and the other has 42,000 psi tensile strength. Yes, there is a T4 also at 30,000.
7075-T651 goes to 78,000 psi but there is a 7075-0 that only has 40,000 which in this case is not better than the 6061-T6. Note...
Not a problem, just trying to see for myself also about the governor and in the process found out I did not have that TM. Thank goodness its just a filter issue because the other did not look like fun at all.

Numerous guys offer good representations in a neat little package. Rick Larsen is one and there is one other on here also. He does the unit markings also.
Don't know. There is conflicting information on two different reliable sources (USMC directions and David Doyle). One says unbroken lines and the other says Gothic. My guess is most people are using Gothic from what I can see. That in itself does not mean its right but...

Really nice pictures, I especially like the Navy Jeep with Hornet markings. What is this picture ? Looks like an old 1916 Four Wheel Drive (Auto Company) but leave it up to the experts to tell me.
Thanks for all the people who posted the pics. Looks like I really missed out bad. TM America and the hole from hell would have been worth the trip alone.
Why do you think a ramp is dangerous? Numerous individuals who use wheelchairs use them. My mother used one for entrance to a house which stood about the same as a deuce's door (kind of long and really heavy). Barry, previously mentioned, uses one as a quick access ramp to make a quick get...
