On a side note....does anyone know if there is an easy search function for the pdf manuals? I printed out the -20 and its easier simply becuase of the table of contents. When I view the rest of these, like the -10....each section is shown as "Para 3-2" (for example). I really don't want to have...
Ok. Thanks, Doghead. I think what I may be looking at is a shock absorber cylinder, and not an actual cylinder. Now that I think about it, I don't recall seeing any actual airlines running to it so it makes sense. Thanks.
So I noticed after I got the deuce, that when cresting the top of a hill, the seat seems to drop a little bit. I also noticed the drivers seat is fairly new. While adjusting the parking brake this weekend, I happened to look underneath the seat, and noticed an air cylinder underneath, along with...
Nothing extraordinary. Tightened up the parking brake so it actually holds now, and adjusted/tightened all of the side mirrors so I can actually see out of them somewhat. Checked the fluids, and started tracking down why my blower motor for the heater doesn't work. Thouroughly enjoyed the time...
Mine won't keep 55 on a serious grade either with the large tires. I suppose I could turn the fuel up but why bother? In that truck I am never really in a hurry and I just downshift. The turbo whistles when I rev up the motor, or as it is coming back down to idle. I am not a semi driver, but my...
I am starting to think it was becuase I had the wipers turned up high and the engine running at idle (about 800rpm). Compressor builds a little less than 120 psi. Checked it with a brand new guage as Doghead suggested. I guess the compressor doens't put out near the volume of air that I am used to.
Easy enough....pull off the cap, loosen the jam nut and turn screw. I'll check tomorrow what pressure it builds while running and adjust if needed.
Thanks DieselBob. It appears that I didn't download that manual. I have it now though.
I shut the truck off and listened for leaks...could not find any. Air system will stay pressurized for hours as long as I don't bleed it off. Never tried leaving it overnight to see if it holds pressure because I am in the habit of draining the tanks every time I shut it off. Seems to build air...
So...I am out yesterday starting and warming up the deuce. Temps were going to drop low last night and we got a small amount of snow. I fired it up, warmed it up and the air pressure low alarm buzzer went off like normal. Since it was sleeting/snowing at the time, I turned on the pneumatic...
Doghead....good point. I do a complete walkaround and check for leaks underneath everytime before I start the truck, and do another one while waiting for the air tanks to pressurize.
Thanks, Peashooter...I'll check into that one. Was definitely thinking simple solenoid type, exhaust to atmo.
ARYankee- good idea. If you were going to go that route, you might as well pick up an Allen Bradley Pico Microcontroller. Simpler to wire, and very easy to program. I have a friend who...
