Well I got her home.
Heres the run down:
-has 4 bad hawker battery's
-ctis main cable is unplugged-as soon as I hook it back up it starts dumping air out of the rear tires.
-top half of stack is gone
-antenna base and mount is missing-I think the hauler took it, or was removed at drmo...
So the m923a2 I just got seems to have the ctis main cable disconnected and pulled out from under the dash and is on the passenger floor. I won't know till Monday the full extent of the hack job.
But im looking for pictures of how the ctis main cable is routed and what not and pictures around...
THAT WAS YOU!!!! why I 'oughtta.... Lol man I almost had it for an amazing deal!!! It looks like the ctis main cable has been disconnected and almost looks completely tore out but I hope that's not the case. I was gunna drive it the 180 miles home but I think I'm gunna have my buddy haul it for...
Are you sure that's not the emergency fuel cut off lever? My m813a1 as one and that almost sound like what you are talking about.
I am probably very wrong, I am not familiar with an m811 but it sounds like it's cutting the fuel. Or doghead could be on to something about whatever your pto...
So I'm officially obsessed, won a m923a1 in deleware in December and did not want to go that far to get her so I called a buddy in the area and picked it up for me and ended up wanting to buy so I sold it to him easy enough for me. But now I'm still m923-less...
So the other day I'm cruising GL...
I think the first set of duals/tandems should get it. Yes it's more work but if you think about it it's right in the middle and will most likely have good weight on it and would probably help you the most. Having it in the middle will also make it a bit easy to do sharp turns with it engaged...
Just as a rule of thumb in my book, after assembling any engine allow it to get to operating temp and then let cool down and re check head bolts and anything else that gets hot and check the valves for correct lash.
i have yet to have to tear in to my trucks engined but as a mechanic this is...
Yes these tires are a better application then the NDTs, some guys swear by the ndts but they are terrible. They bounce they shake they take forever to warm up, they are bias ply (yuck) and they only allow your truck to go about 50-55 with ur foot to the floor. Now the super single are radial...
Thank you guys for the replies! I'm glad I asked before pulling the trigger on those junk tools! Yea I guess I will stay with my strap-on impact.... I mean snap-on.... Hehe. And yes I have already broken down all my tires a couple times as I just put on my 16.00 about a month ago, my back is...
You will not find things like that for military trucks. You will have to custom fit and mount and external civi tank like that. What you could do is remove the passenger side tool box on an m809 and add a secondary fuel tank from the tractors or cargo truck(not sure which ones of the top of my...
The m809 series is your best option for your first MV if must have a 5 ton. Why? Becuase parts are some what cheaper, everything is mechanical and easier to work on and more forgiving. They are generally cheaper in start up price and in my opinion they have the mean bull dog stance and is good...
So I'm flicking threw flea-bay and I found 1/2 impacts connected to slave cables made for the military.
how do we feel about these? Are they worth picking up? Does anyone have any personal experience with these tools?
I feel like that would be a good thing to have in the tool box on the truck.
