m35 bed from Jacksonville florida to Westtown ny

If it's the one from Peter that he has on Craigslist, other than it being possible nearly rust free it doesn't seem special. I think there's a SS member in Ohio selling three beds; I would think that would be closer.

    My Crew Cab Deuce Build

Thanks! As for paint, everything was lightly sanded, while some sections were sanded a bit heavier to get to some rust. Anything that was bare metal or had signs of rust gets hits with Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer and anything that was not was hit with regular primer. For applying the Behr, a...

    My Crew Cab Deuce Build

Parking brake cable moved up, seats bolted in, 2nd step box bolted on, tailgate painted, under side of front fenders painted, and a whole bunch under the bed that I somehow missed. Decided I need to removed the gas can holder and chip the paint off the paint of the front driver side step box...

    M105A2 Hardtop

Thanks, though it looks like two pics are a no show....

    My Crew Cab Deuce Build

Yeah, I put an identical set in my M1009 as well, including the same tear! I'm going to get some Coverking Ballistic Seat covers for them from a certain auction site, so the tear isn't an issue. As for width, it's got a couple inches on each side from the plastic to the door frame, and plenty...

    M923 CrewCab Project

I think the issue with this would be fabbing the hardtop, as you would then need two entire hardtops to make on one, whereas in this case you only need one and a filler piece. Plus, with the built in slant the back of the cab would not necessarily "align" with the bed. Just my thoughts.

    My Crew Cab Deuce Build

Wow, can't believe I'm 8 months into this and still going! Got the rear cab seats aligned and holes drilled. Painted the rear and passenger side interior, mirrors, windshield, gas tank and bed sides Behr 383 green. Also painted the outer portion of the tailgate and the under section of the...

updated pics, 5 ton 4 door

Thanks for posting this up. Solved a whole lot of thinking on how I was going to fab the frame to put my rear seats in this weekend. Looks like I'll start with the existing old passenger seat frame and extend it to adapt it to the new rear seats that I scavenged out of a Chevy Silverado. The...

updated pics, 5 ton 4 door

While there are only a few crew cab 5 tons out there, I believe the concept is the same so one should be able to learn and adapt from any of the numerous deuce crew cab threads on here (mine included). However, each person adds their own flair and vision of the completed project, and of course...

    Budd lug nut question

I bought a whole right and left side set for my deuce from NAPA (back when I was going to unflip my hubs and go back to dual rears); yes they were priced individually.

Very nice setup in both of your recent updates! [thumbzup]

    Cargo Cover

Have you looked in the TM's? Being three piece, there should be two end pieces and then the top piece. With that I'd think it'd be pretty easy to figure out, and from pics I've seen it appears the end pieces go on first. At any rate, a simple Google search popped up this thread; should help...

Nothing special, just a bobber with air ride.

Phenomenal job on the build! Looks like it could have been factory!

    My Crew Cab Deuce Build

I never took the doors off when I lined up the two cabs, so any gap that was there was still the same once the two were joined. With that being said, the rear cab doors do not close as nicely as the front cab doors, which was a known issue when I got the cab. Looking at the hinges it appears...

    Currently Recovering my new M1009

Good luck on the trip and enjoy the ride! Being relatively new to the M1009 myself, these things from my experience and research on here can cause nightmares when it comes to electrical issues. I myself had some lighting issues that I solved with a toggle switch that in the meantime is...

Truck looks to be in great shape...congrats on the new addition! Any ideas on what the issue is that makes it a non-runner?

    Glovebox Door

I got one at the junkyard today that was in great shape for $10 I think the only solution aside from a major modification is to simply use the glove box as little as possible. I would think though that a small piano hinge attached to plastic or metal door cover would do the trick, which I...
