The bolts you are taking out might not be the correct ones for the application, either. Who knows who took them out and what they replaced it with? Take all the bolts out, toss in pile. maybe the right ones go back where they should, maybe not. Just sayin'
The upper 4 holes in the pic are for the jerry can bracket, the stuff below that is for the arctic heater. See M37 page 12 toward the bottom of the page.
I once had a "radio" that had no batteries and was a wire with an alligator clip on one end and a speaker on the other. You clipped the gator clip to a metal radiator in your house and usually got a nearby AM radio signal.
Is your truck 24V? As an aside, these gauges are not going to work like the modern ones. Mine bounce all over the place when I'm running and my oil pressure gauge and sender don't match (Have a 0-120 psi gauge and 0-60 psi sender which means my oil pressure reads 90 psi but it's really 45 psi)...
There's a lot of metal in these trucks. Many of my bolts that came off got run thru my bench mounted wire wheel and were fine for re-use. I'm taliking body stuff here, driveline is different, new companion flange bolts are a must!
Anyone looking for a M37 in good to great shape should be prepared to pay a good chunk of change. For whatever reason, people seem to be buying up or holding onto the best trucks. I don't see many for sale these days....
I know that the fix weapons were 50 cals, 30 cals, mini's or M-60s but did the GT crews stash anything else aboard? I'm wondering if they kept M-16's, M-79's and maybe LAWS rockets handy in the gunbox?
