    M37b1

Yes, M37s were built as B1s into 1968. Lots of them in the Nam era had the spare moved back to the bed in the field.

    This could be exciting...

Be sure to stop by over at g741.org. Congrats to both of you on your successful recoveries.

    M37/M43 Inner windows

I thought that the mounting hinge locations were different?

    M37/M43 Inner windows

This has been brought up before and I recall the short answer is no.

Great find for a rare truck!

    Gear Options????

Since you are in MA, try Bob Stahl. I recall he has the same gear kits. You could take a ride and pick them up, gotta be cheaper than UPS.

    Bolts

The bolts you are taking out might not be the correct ones for the application, either. Who knows who took them out and what they replaced it with? Take all the bolts out, toss in pile. maybe the right ones go back where they should, maybe not. Just sayin'

    Slot in the fender

The upper 4 holes in the pic are for the jerry can bracket, the stuff below that is for the arctic heater. See M37 page 12 toward the bottom of the page.

I hear HAM operators on my computer speakers

I once had a "radio" that had no batteries and was a wire with an alligator clip on one end and a speaker on the other. You clipped the gator clip to a metal radiator in your house and usually got a nearby AM radio signal.

In the words of Miss Emily Latella, "Never Mind" :?

M43 - Trenton, Me to Berlin, NH or...

Wow, it has the rear step. Probably worth the auction price for that alone! Looks good, hope to see it restored at Weare this year!

Can't get fuel sending unit to work.

Is your truck 24V? As an aside, these gauges are not going to work like the modern ones. Mine bounce all over the place when I'm running and my oil pressure gauge and sender don't match (Have a 0-120 psi gauge and 0-60 psi sender which means my oil pressure reads 90 psi but it's really 45 psi)...

    Bolts

There's a lot of metal in these trucks. Many of my bolts that came off got run thru my bench mounted wire wheel and were fine for re-use. I'm taliking body stuff here, driveline is different, new companion flange bolts are a must!

Wrong stock number? Someone got a heater in Vietnam..

Being that the fuel lines are on the passenger side, could the arctic heater (gasoline fired) be the one mounted on the passenger side fender?

Wrong stock number? Someone got a heater in Vietnam..

I been saying that for the last few months, somewhere in Nam there was a M37 with a fender mounted heater!! Thanks for the confirmation.

    December M-37 Recovery

Anyone looking for a M37 in good to great shape should be prepared to pay a good chunk of change. For whatever reason, people seem to be buying up or holding onto the best trucks. I don't see many for sale these days....

    Bolts

Try Bob Stahl at Veteran Vehicles. No net, phone only. I got a bunch of spares from him on my last visit. 508-three-eight-four-769-eight.

    Oil and oil filter

I use the Napa Gold 1100 filter and Shell Rotella 15-40 oil. NAPA is just up the street and Walmart has the Rotella.

Thanks guys, kinda what I thought but just wanted to be sure.

    Vietnam GT Weapons

I know that the fix weapons were 50 cals, 30 cals, mini's or M-60s but did the GT crews stash anything else aboard? I'm wondering if they kept M-16's, M-79's and maybe LAWS rockets handy in the gunbox?
