You can get soft doors on eBay for around $40 per door. I would use soft doors till I could save the money for hard doors.

Even if the kit doesn’t come with a TV cable bracket you can just use the stock one on the HMMWV. You just have to make the hole square instead of round. Pretty easy mod to save a lot of money. Most places want a ridiculous price for the bracket.

Stock car and most hot rod shops are gas motors only. Gotta look for either a diesel specific shop or a regular mechanic that does both. Not a lot of performance places that do both (NOT saying there aren’t shops that do both but they are harder to find)

For someone just wanting to know the differences between the two you sure have a lot of complaints about the answers. Those are the differences and why they are not road legal in some places. If you don’t like it get the DOT safety standards and DMV registration standards changed.
