Might be a dumb question, but has anyone been successful in adjusting the zero and span on the 002 or 003 frequency transducer? I have one that reads high and I would like to try recalibration. TM's are no help that I could find (both 002 and 003 manuals).

Have two 002's in top shape (26 hours and 164 hours), fine tuning one 003'a (900 hours) and one 003a parts machine (200 hours-2006 reset factory rebuilt at .8 hours). 200 hour unit is in rough shape. Looks to have been stored in wet location (rusty). Reset by ONG.

Those of you with 003's, I have a question. My recent acquisition smokes blue smoke after it starts and clears the white smoke (fuel smoke). It only lasts for a minute or so (smoke out the exhaust), but as it is getting less and less, it gets choppy like the rings are not completely sealing...
You said that it would not try to start when you put the selector switch to start. Try jumping out the over temperature switch. Two wires that go into the three pin cannon plug on the right side of the cooling dampersection. I know all four of mine will not even try to start if the...
Update: Got one runner up and load tested today. This one has 900 hours on it. Did the usual clean out, filter replacement, parts swapping from a donor unit and repairing fuel fitting leaks. Replaced ip plunger guide and hard time priming-found cracked ip cap nut on the face (spring and check...
After recently acquiring a 003a with two rusted off/stuck glow plugs I was wondering how I was going to get them out. Wasn't looking forward to drilling in the head. Tried heating and spraying with PBlaster. with no results. Was reading on The Stack about one poster having good luck removing...
Gimpy-Got the fittings out of the injectors with little marring of the surfaces. Think I can reuse them. Going to need gauges, but haven't decided whether I want analog or Jim's digital. That's for later. Using one genny for parts and trying to get the best of one unit for now.
I do need a...
Started looking things over today after unloading and getting the units onto pallets in the garage. Of coarse, the ip drive washer is broken with the pump froze up on the first one. Tore down and soaked everything in paint thinner. Anyone have a couple of spare drive washers they wish to...
Thanks! The poster said that he tried to contact CL and never received a response. I must have sent him 30 to 40 e-mails myself. Bet his mailbox is full....

One had actually been advertised on CL since last may in South Jersey. Was renewed every 6 weeks or so. Their mail relay did not work. Replied many times-thought it was someone pfishing. I happened on it when the original poster had just added his phone number last wednesday. Called it and...
Scored two 003's from CL yesterday in NJ. One complete and one missing couple of gauges and main breaker. 5 hour trip but worth it. 200 and 900 hours shown, 200 hour one was a reset.
Now the fun begins.... :-D

I have no experience with the 802's. All mine is with the 002/003's. Look at reasoning out one issue at a time. Easy to get side-tracked and lose where you were. Some one will be along to help.
I had a oil filter explode on a thermoking generator while trying to start. Found oil filter was...
