Water can't reach the turbo. Just don't stand close to it when you start it as you will blow dirty water all over that side of the truck. These trucks sit all the time without covers on the stacks. You can't mix and match the wiring to the light switch, etc. They are all plugs that are...
Greetings. I'm over in York and used to live in E-town a few years back on W. High St. You e-town guys need a hand, let me know. I had one of my trucks over there a few weeks ago.
Welcome aboard.

Lot auctions most likely. There is still a bunch of stuff to get rid of in a day, plus the real estate. So, it will likely be sold in lots. They may do high bid gets pic of the lot, then bid it again, and again, and so on.... I don't see them combining trucks, trailers, etc. though...
It's not the vehicle you drive, but how you act as a man, the company you keep, and how you carry yourself. Actions speak...
That being said, they reason they are looking at you like a freak is not because of the vehicle, but because of the wheels. Put originals back on or paint em flat OD...
I used a chainsaw to make 12" x 2' (and a few smaller) blocks out of red oak. Things are massive, but won't collapse and can hold almost anything. I would see if you can make them.
I've had my MGB fall off a floor jack during lifting before. That was years ago. Now I never go under a...
3" I believe for the ID of the hole. I think the ring is 2" OD (the thickness of the stock). Large enough to fit your ball/pintle combo (if that's what you are using. It wasn't clear). They will fit just about any pintle hook you are likely to use to retrieve.
I hate to be an idiot, but what's the process for bleeding with the above setup? I get the construction of the tank, etc., but is the tank just to create compressed air? Or do you put the alcohol and then the Dot 5 in the pressure tank? Then pump, then bleed at each wheel according to TM...
Not sure what the weight of the mog is, but I pull around 14k (track loader and trailer) with mine and yeah, it's slow on the hills, but I can do 53-55 on the flats. 5 tons would pull better up hills, I think, but they still aren't fast.
Recovery went well. Towed one M818 with the other out of Annville yesterday using my heavy towbar. It pulled really well and straight even on dirt, gravel, and grass. Not a lot of power though up some hills. 25 tops towing just the 818. But we made it. I'll start a new thread on the...
Stock up on Deuce specific parts too like wheel cylinders, filters, etc. Brake lines can be fixed pretty easily (provided you have the proper tools like flaring device, etc.) but other stuff is deuce/MV specific and can't be had by running down to Autozone. In other words, what happens if you...
Not sure what to tell you. I live close to Mechanicsburg, but as CUCVFAN said, I'm not crazy about the idea of telling someone that I looked it over and it's ok to go. I don't want that liability on my head. Getting these things running is the easy part. It's everything else that's hard...
I had this problem on my rover. Blew a shock through flex. Sway bar removed. Sounded like a canon going off. I don't see the point in that shock especially unloaded. If you haul with it, maybe, but unloaded that shock will never work. Springs are too stiff. I'd remove and test or use axle...
I keep seeing references to a "great list" for picking up a 5 ton similar to the deuce sticky. I have yet to find this though. Any pointers in finding it?
My EUC just came back for my first two M818's out of Annville. Will post pics and photos of recovery which may happen as early as Friday...
2 M818's. All I have are the SN's as follows:
1. 05A-14470-C124-10048
2. 05C-07470-C124-11200
I have no other information on these trucks. I own them and am waiting on EUC. But didn't take pics of the vin plates. Any info is of course appreciated. Only wanted one, but you know how it is...
I previewed Annville yesterday. Was glad I did. Annville equipment always seems better in pics than in person. Things that I thought would be decent from the photos were rough in person. Mike is the guy you have to get with from GL. Start with Amanda though in the office. Mike is a pretty...
