Having to redo the brake clutch pedal, finally found the elusive GM 465 hydro clutch brake pedal assembly. What a PIA, steering column, hydro booster, fuse box all have to come out and be re worked.

Today I took great pleasure in cutting all the over complicated wiring in the 1009.. thank it imho is a pos...stupid stupid system.. I have reduced it to three wires in the starting system..
1 wire come off the dog head thingy to the S term.
2 I left the ford solenoid came off...
Update... engine in along with gm nv4500 ended up having to mod the flywheel, the flywheel I received from a parts distributor was for nv3500 or AX15, driven it about 300yds. Lkie all CUCV still working out the electrical.. I find myself with way too many wires and not charging. as for what is...
I am sorry delete this can't upload the video for some reason site changed too much I am old ect.. anyway built a rotary engine using Detroit 71 cyl. and pistons and yamar injection pumps from small genset and 6ct injectors got it running so KMA... it works for how long??? but it works
I was wondering would it been easier to swap out gears..thinking about a grand for new less if you cand find used.. I could be wrong and often I am just curious
Thanks but Now all both my cucv have nv4500, if have to redo both them.. prefer the manual in the pickup it really simplified things, the 4bt in the 1009 is still awaiting finial reassembly (3.73 gears 14 bolt and 44 front working out the clutch pedals now)
3/16 to 1/4 inch ( the following is suspect)..but careful I did my first swap used to big of a line starve the cam of oil wiped it out.. that oil port is too close to the pump, the next engine I just put a restricted down to 3/16 no problem..

I have a 10bolt/14bolt out of 3/4 bruban 3:73 ratio under my 1009.. Had to do it cause of 4bt with nv4500 ... too much lugging and shifting but the axle where direct swap just had to get U bolts
freakin love fest... you all are drank way to much cool aid lol.. the engine was crappy, IMO the concept was still make gas engine a diesel, based upon foot print eventually a crank rod or bear journal may cut lose prematurely.. the engine is crap shoot

SS diesel sell a two piece cross tube.. saves alot of time... also check the assorsey drive rotatation ... serpentine belts runs water counter clockwise and v belts run clockwise. I ALSO thought that opt. Heads are different. ? Maybe consider a 4bt cummins swap chevy set up with a 400 turdo is...
