check your CDR valve first consider swaping to the 6.5 turbo cdr the factory set is a little different. maybe it couldbuy you alittle time just my thought..

Yeah dude it is adjustable I have on of the of my 09 motor I have set 2 to 3 at Idle and runs up to 8 to 11 when I am on it.. temp gauge was around 900F with GM-5 turbo

the hmmwv radiator was mounted, kind of over the engine, look at pic of one, the vents in the hood is where the rad. is mounted.
One other thing.. all the crap ie pullys mount water pump off the CUCV has to be swap out to the Hmmvw motor. do a search and there is alot of good info about it..

how did you do the torque converter lock up?? on my 09 I had trans shop wire it up.. I didn't get any paper back for it. I am fixing to drop 4 bt in it now. One more thing torqconverter was it six lug or 3 what I can fine b29 had two converter for diesel app.
Do what fmj says.. but it sounds like you have a ground issue.. I am assumming the guy left the driver side alt inplace. there agruond to block there and there is one on the oppsite endof block to the neg bus bar.
check those and go though all the wire and RR.
