The 106mm is an interesting weapon. Are you going to put a live one on your jeep? I'd like to eventually have one operable 106 and one spotting rifle on the ontos, but that's a long ways away from happening. I know Brent Mullins has demilled 106's at his place in Texas.

I've found the correct engine for it from another SS member. It's a Chrysler 361 but is different than the 361 that they put in the m113's back in the day.

Compared to some other vehicles I've seen be restored this ones very complete. Just check out the m24 Chaffee being restored in g503 and you'll see what I mean.

That's a good point. I can optimistically say that with the parts I've found for it that it will be running and driving under its own power in less than a year. So looking forward to taking her mudding. Lol

Could the m971 still take super singles without too much modification?
