I have done this a few ways (from a airline fitting to cardboard and duct tape). I think this is the easiest. Drill a hole at .453" or .625" (standard sizes)...insert a standard valve stem. I hook it up to a C02 tank regulated to 2-3 psi, but any regulated air source would work. It makes...
It was replaced... But it was like pulling teeth, and took this long. I guess I am happy to get it replaced, but the problem areas look the same in my mind, not sure if there were any "upgrades" or "improvements". I took some pics, but they were pretty poor in regards to close ups...I will...
Tranmission will temporarily work in all forward gears and reverse. Once it get to full operational temperature, it progressiveley gets sluggish and stops all together. It will road drive at 55/60 but feels like it is slipping. We are about to do a pressure port test, drop the pan and look at...
I found some generic testing online. I am looking for a more in depth manual or trouble shooting guide that might break down the testing of the valve body and pressure diagnostics. I have a very clean transmission in a M923A2 that had some weird issues I would like to attempt to shake down...
Need a fully functioning cargo (22,000 pounds) moved from 23072 Virginia to Central Texas.
PM or reply please. Will needed it moved in the next two weeks. Leads on reliable service are also appreciated.
Unplug the controller right by the transmission shifter. Go to your wheels, you will see where the air enters the wheel from the CTIS system. There are two inlets that enter your wheel: One on the interior and one the exterior of the rim face. The interior one is just a long secondary...
I am looking at getting a cheap hand held reader. There are a few around popular auction sites with titles such as "CR-HD DIY Heavy Truck Duty Code Reader J1939 J1708". It appears it will link with the passenger side diagnostic connectors. Has anyone used this? I would hate to spend that...
I bet you are still getting a little bit of air somewhere. It will not run if you have any air leak of any kind from the fuel tank to injector. Check all your fuel filter gaskets and all joints, hoses and connections. The best and easiest way I check during a recovery is to pressurize the...
Looks like it's heading back to Ibis Tek: "Tim,We were forwarded your inquiry regarding the Ibis Tek TowBar NSN 2512-100-001. We have had a few reports of failures when the Tow Barwas used as an extraction devise. We would like to have the Tow Bar returnedfor our analysis through our RMA...
I could not get it to mesh incorrectly (it may be possible but would look horribly offset)... but I do know the bar was stowed straight with the legs together and they never "popped" out past 45 degrees during the install (IE past the end of the teeth mesh). Everything was symmetrical. I...
Those big teeth just keep the geometry symmetrical just like you mentioned: They force the bar angles to be equal. It's hard to tell from those pictures, but it would be impossible to install the bar with one of the legs offset from the centerline more or less than the other.
I contacted them...
I had feet...they are still on the truck, we pulled the pins to drop the dragging bar ends. I am not sure I would even be able to turn 3 degrees without a joint at the bumper clevis attachments.
Hypothetically, lets say the whole bar was mounted statically with no joints on either...
The truck was making a regular right hand turn. It looks like the left hand leg of the bar failed in tension and ripped out at both welded joints. The right hand leg looks like it buckled at the same time. This was at less than 5 MPH taking off from a stop. The tow vehicle was freely rolling...
